cold cards How do you deal with cold cards that come out of nowhere, I was in a HORSE tournament on aced poker, and during the razz game I couldn't stop hitting high pair on the later streets. And during stud I all of a sudden couldn't do anything right. How do you deal with cold cards. And chip stack, I was in 30th playing smart and then all of a sudden, one stupid move leaves me backed up against a wall.

If your playing only freerolls and low buyins don't expect to be greated with even contious disicions or your opponents part. It's just a rat race and you have only luck involved with in those large tourney's. Keep jammin on them though and try and build a couple hundred bucks, then make your way to the mid tables where they actually have a brain (mostly). Even on the big sites you can invest a couple of days and tag the players in your weight class and learn their tendancies. Keep the faith and stick to your strategy.

re: cold cards poker Patience! Patience! Patience! lol If you can, it is best to take a break for a few when u are on a streak like this. Hard to do when u know u are playing every hand right and still lose. Hate those streaks! Good Luck

Guess that's part of why poker folks started defining 'heaters', 'coolers' and 'variance'. Cold cards are a part of the game. Can't always have the best cards. Would be nice, but not going to happen. Just have to wait through them, and slip the dealer something under the table ...

i was playing a cash game at my place last night and i hit the coldest deck i've seen in 6-8 months.... i dont even know if cold is the way to put it. i was constantly flopping the nut straight only to be called on my after my triple, sometimes more than 6x the pot(this was when i started to get a bit tilrted after all these suckouts) only to be called and the board pairing or flushing on fourth and fifth street. i like omaha but sometimes no matter how well you play you can catch a break. i had just won $500 on superbowl so i'm not overly upset i just hate losing to players that i know shoved a couple horseshoes up their a$$ before coming to the table....

'Cold deck' is generally used to describe the deal of the first card/s. Nothing playable. No decent 'starter' cards. |
