Is this a coincidence/deliberate? Last night in an AP SNG (low stakes $1) there was a player who, on two different occasions, showed a disconnect after a re-raise that would have forced him allin. Both times, his limp bet was treated as "allin" due to the disconnect, thus affording him the opportunity to river out his hand without the liability of risking his bankroll (he lost one of those hands and won the other on a suck out). Is this coincidence, or was he deliberately jumping off the site for a minute or two to allow his hand to be treated as "allin"? If deliberate, it seems to defeat the intent of NLH inasmuch as merely leaving the site momentarily allows one to avoid an allin confrontation.

I am not sure how it works there, but if this assumption is correct; Disconnect protection will treat a disconnected players last bet as if it was an all in bet, and the game will continue with minimum disruption. then it opens up the possibility of some online poker shenanigans. I hope you made notes about that player for yourself, and should you run across him again, drop a note to the support folks. That said, as much as we would all like a perfect world, disconnects do happen, and are usually not the fault of the site. The strength of the internet is also it's biggest weakness. Being able to link to a link that links to a link that links to the place we want to link to, creates a lot of possible weak links.

I've seen it alot too , and I'm sure many times they are doing it to avoid calling the bet, but staying in the pot.but like DJ said it happens to alot of people on accident so what can you do. they can only do it a couple times, luckily.

At Party there were tables that were labeled "no all in protection". I always thought this was a defect, but perhaps they are frequented by players like you who get ticked off at disconnect all ins. I have not noticed them at other sites.

re: Is this a coincidence/deliberate? poker Back in the Flintstone's days, when I had dial-up, I would get disconnected all the time at Paradise. One particular SNG, I get reconnected to some douchebag calling me a cheater, like I'd done it on purpose. Most of the time I think it's a player's sketching connection, but, there are probably a lot of people who try to use it to their advantage. If it's something that you notice is happening a lot with a certain player, it can't hurt to report it to the site's support.
