Chip dumping

Some russian dude is chip dumping to me bcos i started tlking to him. I've told him to stop but he keeps on doing it every now n then bcos he wants us to get to the final table together. Bit nuts like. I dont wanna get told off by PokerStars or banned!!

Stop talking about it in the chat, if he is a fool and dumping to you just let him, it may be with the chips that he dumps to you that you win the tourney.

i agree. if a player is dumping to you and you're doing nothing wrong let him dump to his hearts content. avoid anything that would make you a cheating party poker enjoy the free ride as long as you can. just make sure not to get caught in another players scandal.

Ah he was a idiot like. When he had 21k in chips and asoon as i went upto 40k in chips he was askin me to donate sum chips to him!! What a joke.
I dont think i did anything wrong by jus calling his stupid bets, but with decent cards to back me up.
I came 2nd in that SnG, without his help. he went nuts on the last 2 tables and busted out just b4 the money. lol

why should you care what he does. it doesn't matter if he gives you those chips. for whatever reason the site might just think he is a donk and just loves giving away his chips

Gratz on your finish and good fortune in someone doing this! I would be very careful about what is said in chat though, as stated, you don't want to be turned in for a collusion you weren't aware of!

This is a little bit fishy of a story.....are you talking about just ONE time in one tourney that this has happened, with someone you only met in table chat there? Or do you two play in a lot of things together, or has he been following you around maybe?

If it's just a one-time thing, some guy that might have had to leave at a certain time and suiciding himself before that, then fine, no real problem.

But if you KEEP running into him, or even chatting together and FINDING each other, and this similar thing keeps happening, then YOU really SHOULD be rather wary and even put an END to it yourself. He could well get YOU in trouble along with him, even if you really were NOT in collusion with him.

This thread brings up a rather interesting tangent: What if someone wanted to CAUSE trouble for another player, but getting them involved in a dumping scandal? In other words, go out and purposefully try to suck another player in to get them in trouble?

I know, I know, it's quite a "fringe" type of thought, but it is kind of an interesting hypothetical.....

if he wants to chip dump let him just play your game and if you win you win fair and square.

This, if you start talking to him, it becomes a little more suspicious and it would make it seem like you two know each other. Just ignore the chat and take his chips.

He was betting and telling you to call, that's different. Maybe he was trying to bluff u and using reversed psychology to make u fold (and obviously he didn't do a good enough job)

Just take the chips and don't think to much about it. If you're not cheating, then don't worry about it. I'm sure every major poker site has heard of every situation...

yea if talking to a guy will get u a lot of his chips who cares it isn't like u know him in real so it isn't really collusion u didn't plan for him to sign up to give u chips i am sure they don't really care as long as you r not attempting to do it

I am sure someone in the tourney that lost had reported it. Him talking out right in the chat box is crazy. If reported though it doesn't look like you did anything wrong. Of course you would call with a str.
The poker site will check all his tourneys to see if you played together. The sites don't take things like this litely. I don't see where you did any thing wrong. If you gave him chips back when he needed them, that would be suspect.

The guy is a idiot, take his chips without remorse.
