Chinese Poker Do we have any players? After seeing a few videos of some top name pros playing and such my friend and I decided to take it up, and it truly is a fun game. Requires some kind of strategy and of course there are different variants of the game. If you haven't played it you guys should try it. Just another card game to add to your arsenal.

I've always wanted to play it since I saw the pros playing it in a cash game at the '06 WSOP, but can never find any takers. I would have thought that Stars would have put it on the site by now considering they have just about every other poker variant. What variant(s) have you played? Do you find that one works better than the others for new players to the game?

I've never heard of it until reading this post. I decided to google it and here is a link if others are interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_poker Sounds interesting - I'll have to give it some thought.

Interesting, from the Wikipedia link 'Chinese Poker was played at the 1995 World Series of Poker and the 1996 World Series of Poker. In 1995, the $1500 event was won by John Tsagaris, and the $5000 event by Steve Zolotow. In 1996 the $1500 event was won by Gregory Grivas, and the $5000 event by Jim Feldhouse. There have been no Chinese Poker events at the World Series of Poker since 1996.'

re: Chinese Poker Hi, my name's Mase and I have a problem.....lol I started playing chinese with some of my poker friends, and got hooked so bad. We gave up so much time playing real poker to try and grind basically no $$$ off each other's faces, lol. Playing for $0.50 a point 2/4. I basically just started trying my hardest to jam one big pair up front, so I'd usually be (Straight or flush) in back, 2pair middle, one pair front. As long as you keep yourself from getting swept, you're going to be okay.
