First and foremost, I want to state that I am not complaining in any way, shape, or form, and am not one of those people who thinks aces never win. I win 99% of the time with mine.
This is a rarity and I thought it was pretty amusing.10 player table I'm 8th to act this hand. Blinds: $.50/$1.00. I snag AA. To my dismay, the first to act makes a minimum raise to $2 and gets called by another 4 people (Loose table). No way do I want that many people going against my aces, so I raise it to $6 hoping to get the numbers down. All folds except one person who calls and then the person two seats from me reraises me to $10 and the person right next to me calls. At this point I figure that they can't have much of anything if they merely called a minimum raise the first time around (people like to see the flop at Royal Vegas...a lot) and so I'm ready to just bag this pot now considering it's got $30-$40 dollars in it. I reraise to $30. All folds except the person two seats from me who calls, which surprises me. Now I'm putting him on a KK or QQ. Flop comes down 2-5-6 with two diamonds. What a great flop for me, huh? He checks, I put in another $20 thinking I'll win it here unless he does in fact have QQ or KK. He calls. Turn is a Queen of diamonds. Now I get a bit scared. If he has QQ he just hit his set, and those diamonds are a bit intimidating. He doesn't check this time, but bets a single solitary dollar. Don't ask me why, but I only called it. River comes out with a fourth diamond. Now I'm pretty scared because neither of my aces is a diamond. He bets out another dollar and I call. (Why didn't I try and raise him out of the pot? )Time comes to flip, he shows....Drumroll....Q-6 of hearts!!! Haha! That gave him two pair. If he was gutsy enough to call $30 (30x the BB) preflop with THAT he deserved to win the pot! Jon |

Haha, well I'm usually pretty good about keeping my cool. Even if I flip out I don't voice it.
It doesn't bother me much mostly though ebcause my bankroll is big enough to deal with a beat like that. I don't play in rooms bigger than I should be (a mistake most online poker players make), so it doesn't hurt me much. On the other hand, when it happens twice in a row, that sucks. I just lost another $30 with a scattered board except for one King, and I had AK. Someone hit their set of 4's. :P I was a little madder about that just because I hate when that happens to me, and it's my second beat in a day. I'm taking the rest of the day off, needless to say. :P Jon |

As far as the hand goes that suckout wasn't going anywhere, your betting while suspect on the turn most likely would not have affected the outcome of the hand obvious calling station till the river hits. Only way to deal with em is choose your battles and hopefully you get their chips before someone else does. |
