| The other night I was wandering through my local casino and watched a couple of hands of this game. Three people were playing at the table. The dealer won at least half the time during the hands I watched, including hitting a straight. On the surface, it seems like this would be a good game...playing heads up against one other player. But, I am sure there is a ctach come place. I don't know the mechanics of the betting or the ante. That's probably where the casino gets its edge and profit. |

| If you're referring to the "texax holdem" table game don't bother. You have to lay down 3-5 bets to make it to the river and you're not guaranteed to win even if you hit. It's a horrible game that's trying to suck in actual poker players into thinking it's holdem, it's not even close. |

The only thing similar is the name. It's not poker, it's a CASINO GAME which means the odds are stacked against you and you'll lose in the long run. |

The casino will only let you play against them directly if they have a mathematical edge. Otherwise they're just giving money away, and that's not what casinos are there for. I've never seen or heard of this game, but I can 99.99% guarantee you it'll be -EV just like roulette, craps, blackjack, baccarat, slots and any other floor game you care to name. Stick to real poker instead |

| I have watched some friends play it, and they destroyed a table of it for over an hour. Each left +$400. But as stated in other posts, it is a table game, the odds are in favor of the house. If you do play it, try and get away with playing it like a newbie and pick your cards up or flash them around or try to find out what the others at your table have as it may help you find out some outs and whether it is worth putting in the turn and river bets. |
