Why would it not be reliable?

the amount your sending does not matter, the mail man will lose your $1 check just as easy as your $1000 one.

Um, this depends entirely on the site. Which online poker room are you talking about?

I've always wanted to cash out check style. Curious if the checks look cool or anything. Like with the official Full Tilt logo or something like that... anyone know?

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with poker or online gambling. Otherwise the bank would know the check came from a shady source.

It has no greater chance of being stolen than any other check sent through the US mail as payments to either people or companies. You're worrying about nothing. Think about how many social security and medicare checks still travel snail mail. And all the personal checks that are sent to utility companies, auto loans, etc.

I have thought about it but not from your stance.

Will the bank accept the check no questions asked?
Does it say Poker Stars on is it some kind of offshore bank deal.

Anyone confirm deny this?

its just a buisness to personal check, it says no where on it about gambling or pokerstars or anything else. I have not gotten one but my friend has and had no problem at all cashing it.

cashed out like 4 times via check with 0 problem. the first check (unless you live in CA) is out of state and takes 2 weeks to clear. after that it's 0 downtime.

They're fine. The checks don't have POKER POKER POKER GAMBLING CASINO stamped on them or anything-- they're as boring and innocent looking as checks that are issued for rebates (at least the ones by FT, PS, and Absolute are).

out of the checks that I have had sent to me I have had no problems only one site left to us player that I cash out on, and thats pokerstars, and if its a 1000 or more they send it ups, and i get it within 3 days. it doesnt look special or anything just a normal looking check.

After Empire shut out U.S. players I cashed out via check. Nothing unusual about the check's appearance but the bank teller looked long and hard when I deposited. Guess she didn't recognize the issuer.

On another note, even if a check were lost in the mail wouldn't a poker site simply reissue? I'm sure they would wait to make sure the original wasn't cashed but I can't imagine a reputable site would refuse a player their money.

Ive received 5 checks from bodog. There was nothing on it that said it came from bodog or any gambling establishment, just looks like a check that a business would send out. Never had any problems cashing them

Whenever I received a check from Absolute Poker, it was from a third party poker having nothing to do with the Absolute Poker name. The great thing was that mine only took about 4 business days through the mail.

Its been a while since I been in the forum ,but I did get my check it took over 1 month and came from some Royal Mail delivery service it was crazy. Take an American Check and imagine like 2 american checks. The check was huge. And I had to have a key to give to the post office to get the check because it came in like first class mail

checks are usually from canada or wherever there main hq is located. Sometimes they take awhile to clear due to alot of fraudulent checks out there. It took mine about 2 weeks also but sometimes it can take longer then that. regardless dont worry your check will come just fine. great to have a poker payday and may many more checks follow

I've gotten 2 checks from bodog, 23 and 8 days respectively. They were plain checks drawn on an Atlanta bank. No problems
