Since everyone and their dog has started a blog nowadays, we feel it's fair to ask a little in return for getting exposure in front of ~40,000 CC members.

Since I expect you love the site anyway, it shouldn't be a problem, but what we want is two links to CC:

One to the homepage (either with a banner or text saying "Poker Forums" or "Poker Forum" or "Cardschat Poker Forum" etc) and one to another page such as to the poker-strategy.php page with "Poker Strategy" or "Poker sites" to poker-site-reviews.php or to one of our reviews, or other pages etc.

sounds fair.

Some of us are search and website illiterate. So maybe postin an instructional on where to find the banners/links to post.

It's pretty easy to add links in.... all you need to do is find out where the appropriate code for the sidebar is (i'm not sure since I don't use blogger)

and add in code like:

OK guys, I see a lot of blogs not following this request. I'll give a week from the date of this post, and if any blog links I see are not compliant, they will be removed. Check out this blog for a good example of what we're looking for:

I should note that on Tenbob's blog, not only does he have the banner, but if you scroll down a bit, on the right hand side he has a text link as well. Thus the two links we're looking for...

And to add to Tammy's above post... it would be a great help if the second link was to one of Cardschats other pages... such as, our poker strategy page (link reading "poker strategy" or "poker articles" as examples) or to your favourite section of the forum, etc.

P.S. Linking to CC is a great help in spreading the word, and I really appreciate all members who help out with this.

Okay, I started a blog not too long ago and now I've spotted this thread. I added one of the banners, but it's to my blog and not on the side like I would like it. Could someone please tell me how to get it there in detail. I'm not really that good at the whole blog thing.

MM, edit your blog and click on a link option, in the link space type Online Poker Forum - Poker Games, Poker Strategy, Bonuses & Freerolls! make sure you have the http:// at the front that will make it into a proper link.

I'm not really familiar with blogger/blogspot so I'm probably not the best to answer but:

Edit your "template" and try to find the section for your sidebar and try to find the appropriate place you want to put it. E.g for dg try looking for "Site Totals"

Then visit the link to us page - Link To Us - Cardschat.com Poker Forums and find the banner you want (i'd probably go with the small button) and copy the HTML code in the textbox next to it.

Then simply paste it into the appropriate part of the HTML that you have found above.

Hope this helps - if not I'm sure I can login to your blogger for you at some point this week, and do it for you.

I tried that, Nick. Doesn't work in the side boxes.

But I can get it in my header, but I need to know how to move it to the far left or right.

This is the one I'm wanting to use...

Thanks, Nick. But the template I'm using just doesn't allow me to color outside the lines at all.

I tried it in several different spaces, but it only moves it to the right of that space. I'm gonna try to edit the html of the page and see if I can get it in there that way though, but that will have to be later.

Okay, the only page I found where I can change the html looks more like a CSS page. I think it's just for editing the templates positioning. But anyway, I just put the CC link in as a signature to all my posts. This will put it on the page about 20 times!
