Cardschat "Holecards Revealed" Tourney Video

As you may or may not be aware, a few weeks ago mischman (pronounced MEESH-man) and myself ran an event open to 'loyalers' in which we would request the participants hand histories and using some painstaking labour (that was misch's job) we would make a video with commentary and with the holecards turned up in the Poker Tracker hand replayer (that was my job - I like it this way around).

This is the fruit of our labours!

Google Vid (streaming - check "smooth video" at the bottom right and view at 2* or full screen for best results)

http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...61981&hl=en-GB <-- part 1
http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...36148&hl=en-GB <-- part 2
http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...84491&hl=en-GB <-- part 3

Megaupload (downloadable .rar - it will probably limit you to downloading one of these a day, not sure - quality is far better than gvid though. if you're having issues with the image on the downloadable vid, read posts #23-29 below)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4AHT17X8 <-- part 1
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3WZVW3LE <-- part 2
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=N2XXZKR0 <-- part 3

Credit to misch for being my own personal hand-history producing sweatshop, and thanks to all who participated!

Well, I hated to go out first but loved the commentary.....

There was no reason to go broke there, but against Rob I thought there was the possibility that he was just trying to bully me early with a marginal hand...... he likes to do that to me.
I did need to push more on the reraise though, that is a definate thing I screw up on ALL the time.
I'm pretty sure Rob would have pushed with the Q's, especially against me....
he knows I would call him.
If we had seen the flop he would have gotten me anyway, I would have called a push or perhaps pushed with TPTK anyway.
ARGH I SUCK AT POKER!

Video 3 is the best

"i wonder what meeshman will do with the 72 suited, we saw what he did with 72 off suit, he'll prbly just fold cause its sooted, yeap he folds"

"i wonder what mischman will do with the AJ if blanco comes over the top?'
-we saw what i did with J8 when tenbob came over the top.

"i dunno.' WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, My play is the first one to stump you!

'its unfortunate mischman caught his ace.' I agree, i beat the 88 and won a nice size pot

all with in the first 10 minutes

Damn you Chris and your commentaries!! How will the dishes get done? The laundry...? Makes me wish I would have played...maybe the next one. Only partially watched the first one so far. I'll have to take these in stages. Very nice job!

I learned that it will buffer like 3 inches of dark gray, stop. then ill watch it and when it gets to the light grau just totally freeze.
-Pause it
-Go to the far right of the light gray, click so the little dial goes there
-Go back to the place you stopped watching with the little dial and click it
-the dial will move there
-let it buffer
-repeat

"That's fiiiiine". I'm going to be hearing that all night now!

Terrific effort DM. Some of the plays were opponent dependant, some were due to the tightness of the game, some i really dont know! It's annoying having to listen though, with no right to reply!

But you have the right to reply right here.

Seriously, if there's anything anyone especially liked/disliked, or any point at which you think I'm just talking utter crap (except when I fail like 3 times in trying to say "Cardschat holecards", I already know about that >_>), post about it, either here or you could even set up a separate thread in HA for a specific hand.

Thanks Misch and Chris - listening to first one now. I wouldn't mind playing in one - I know I am not one of the stronger players but maybe I would learn something from it.

Fantastic stuff, Chris. Really good analysis, and you nailed my exact thoughts at many points. Not to mention big thanks to misch for slaving over the hand histories for us. I hope to participate in one of these again.

Looks good... not sure I have the patience to watch the whole lot though! Great effort, but it's 2 1/2 minutes before we see the first hand, and 8 minutes in we're still mulling over hand 2 (first hand having been folded round).

Not every hand is as icky as the second hand.

My vids aways seem to be like 25% longer than I expect them to be, though, but I'd rather ramble too much than not enough.

If there's enough interest in a vid without the commentary and just played through the Poker Tracker replayer a little faster and without pause as a sort of "lazy guy's alternative", then I'd consider putting it up, but I feel it would defeat the purpose a little.

No, rather there be more commentary and advice then not enough. If its to long or you dont like it just fast forward through part of it.

If someone wants to view it with no commentary they can go buy Poker Tracker and do it themselves.

Already have xvid codec installed from last set of video downloads. I will reinstall to see if that is the problem. Thanks.

The alternative is to try something like VLC media player, which generally owns WMP anyway.

I'll try and diagnose if there is a problem with the uploads tonight when I get home, though.

Works great on the VLC media player. Still no pic on wmp but after viewing on VLC, wmp is retired.
Thanks again.

Yea kinda weird how it won't work on WMP or DivX... It works fine on VLC (Altho I'm not a fan of VLC..)

Anyways, watched the whole thing, very well put together.. These are great learning tools, thank you dork and misch.

Saving the Google vid works for me.

Ooo, I'm getting excited and it's only started downloading! How pathetic is that?

A bit over 3 hours total. Misch and I are planning a second event, there's a thread here about it.

NineLions, is the quality on the saved google vid as crap as the quality on the streaming vid?

Much better downloaded, for whatever reason.

A bit hard to see at 100% just 'cause it's small, but at 200% it's fuzzy but big so easier to see. Probably depends on your video and monitor settings.

I probably learned as much watching Poker Tracker 1, as anything I've read in weeks. HOWEVER, I may have lost 3 years worth of eyesight.
My 'messed up' is that the table is out of focus. Oddly, Chris's mouse is not out of focus. The Google screen is not out of focus. I tried it at all the resolutions my flat screen handles.
I hope someone can help me before I do Poker Tracker 2.
