Card Protectors

Guessing this won't apply to quite a few of you but I will ask anyway.

What do you use as a card protector?

Now Greg 'Fossilman' Raymer (current world champ) got his name cause he uses fossils.

The only time I have played in a casino I just used one of my chips (till I lost them all but I wasn't getting dealt any more card to protect anyway ;] )

So what do you use when your in a casino, playing in a home game, or whats the strangest thing you have seen being used?

Nothing usually. Now and then a couple of the highest chips in the game if I'm winning to try and intimidate the other players, though they're usually my friends so we don't play too seriously, which has lost me a lot of money!

I will usually use a coin or a big chip. I have seen people that use a little budha figure and other little novelty items.

i have Cubone (pokemon) i got from burger king that i use as a card protector. ive been using it regularly for about 2 years now so its become a good luck charm/card protector.

also at casinos, girls ask about it so...its cool

if you look at my avatar, it shows my cubone on there.

With the cards I've been lately, who needs a card protector. What I've need is a match.

Seriously, though, I usually just use a chip from my stack. If I find something that really means something to me, I may start using that. but I think the commercial chip protectors are kind of hokey. Especially the ones featuring poker pros on them.

My new Hendon Mob card protector arrived in the post this morning, I will try and get a picture of it up at some point.

For those of you who don't know the Hendon Mob are 4 English poker players who are sponsored by Prima Poker.

I don't use a card protector. I usually just put my cards right next to my stack, which pretoects them.

Pikachu

I use a small Blastoise (of Pokemon fame) figurine to protect my cards. Most people laugh at it for being childish, but it was given to me by my little cousin who has Multiple Sclerosis so I treasure it.
