Well snow indeed!!! We just got our first cold spell 2 days ago. Still no snow. The weather has become unpredictable, should have at least a foot of snow by now.
I really really wish it was my 30th birthday again, enjoy it, its not that bad.

Gord - if you're turning 30 now, does that mean you were born before or after the end of WWII? Are you a baby boomer?

Just a question.

Lol, for some red eye reason I thought briefly you were admitting to being 17 years old by quoting your twin being 17 tomorrow.
Now that I have landed back to earth all I can say is, happy birthday to the twins and good luck in your new job.

Any true artist is too macho to just write songs that any kind of ladieeeees swoon to, it must be perfection itself and will take time.
Rome wasn't built in a day but I estimate two days for sure.

Everything is going wrong.... Last night we had a good first period.. the second period brought some unbelievably stupid penalty calls by the vs gill... I couldnt believe it... They didn't score on us but I think it killed our momentum... After that it was just sad, leafs had no umph in them... Really pisses me off to see our team seem to be playing so well (Minus last night) Yet still failing....

Can't really put my finger on it either, I believe a big part is the defense.. But it should be solid, Kaberle and McCabe have been playing decently.. McCabe playing a lot better defensive wise then he was at the start of the year.. White is still a rookie, I love his offensive abilities, and seems sound on defense MOST of the time... Gill is amazing on the PK, getting in shooting lanes... and blocking pucks but lately has had a few mess ups.. Peca has done 10x more then could be expected of him... and kilger has been playing great on the PK as well..

Goaltending ? Perhaps, Raycroft has a weak glove hand if you ask me... With his pads he is pheonominal... But once again, after that injury It seems he has let in a few softies.. (The second one vs montreal I believe...) Personally I think we should give Raycroft a rest for a game or two and let Aubin work his magic for a bit...

Offensive ? Hmmm, Our offense has been lacking lately.. Our wingers need to get the pucks out when our defense slaps it around our boards in our defensive end... Other then that I believe our offense is great, averaging over 30 shots... Great depth from our goals, tucker, wellwood, sundin, all these guys are contributing... Steen needs to get going to as good as he was last year but that's only a minor concern to me.

In Conclusion, I have no idea wtf is wrong with us atm.. I believe its just a funk and the players just need some confidence back... I believe we have the makings of a stanly cup team, just as long as the players start playing their best.

I'm kinda new around here but when I saw a thread all about us canadians I figured I should jump in

I live in Waterloo but am currently visiting my home in Newfoundland for Christmas haven't been back here for 4 years now and just being back for a few days reminds me of how much I love it here.

Incidentally Iwould like to point out that the best Canadian team by far this year is Montreal They are currently 10 points or more ahead of every other canadian team and yet CBC still is showing nothing but leaf games on Saturday night

Well, glad to see there are so many other canadians in here....

Go Habs Go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Welcome Shoestrigx, so we have another hockey fan eh! I'm from the East Coast as well New Brunswick, so I know where your coming from when your talking about how beautiful and peaceful it is there. When your close to cities and lots of people I tend to me more of a hustler and bustler with no relaxation time and stress level is up more. When I go home its a totally different world, enjoy while you can.
I always followed the habs back, back, back in the day when it was just Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver for Canada. Great team!! But sorry my heart is with the leafs and i'm a long time fan, who is praying to see them win the Stanley Cup sometime before I die lol.

YYESSSS GO CANADAA GOOOOOO

Was going to start a new thread about the world jr's but.. Thought our other american users might get mad at my spammage.

3-0 AGAINST THE RUSSIANS ! Bwahahaha... Man what a great game.. Holy crap the staal's sure can breed them eh ? Anyone watching the game besides me ? Or you all stuck at work ?

Man, two periods to go and it's already 3-0, I just hope that we keep playing physical, something I think was lacking in the ends of the first period....

GOING FOR TEAM CANADA'S 18TH STRAIGHT WIN.

4-2 10 minutes left.. What a dive by the russian infront of the net to get a penalty and eventually get the goal.... Can't believe that

I hope Canada can play great in the Neutral zone like they have in the past, and just keep the puck in the russian zone for the remaining 10 minutes.

Oh and not lose their cool like I am

EDIT -> CANADA WINS!!! CANADA WINS!!
