Can you tell what is "This"?

Hi All...

What is meant by term "qualified"? I have heard this shouting at tv by too many poker players..Please help me clearing the mystery

Not sure exactly what youre asking. The only think I can think of as far as poker on TV. Might be that rather than paying the full $10,000 into a major event. They may have "qualified" for the same tournament by entereing a smaller tournament where the winner wins entry into the higher buy-in.

i heard them say this in poker after dark quite a few times. They were referring to their hand. I think they were just using the word qualified to mean they had a chance to win and merit for being in the hand. Its been awhile since ive heard them say it so i cant think of exact examples to be sure.

Tony G was using the term on 'The Big Game' the other week. Basically any pair or 4 card draw, he would say is hand was 'qualified' meaning it improved. He was basically using it as a way to interact with people and get reads on them.

He won 300k+ that session. I think he is the biggest single week winner on the big game.
