This is what I would have done, on the assumption all were on full tables 1) K9 = Fold, not even worth a call let alone AI 2) 88 = Fold, dangerous position and 88 not good enough to make the AI play 3) AA = I am not a fan of slowplay but think in this position i.e. 2 players would have attempted to string him along. At least you won $20. Plenty of threads on here about never winning with AA LOL 4) A7 = Fold. We all see the magic flop now and again. The crap flop we see most of the time

re: can u believe my luck playing MTT??? poker First off the plays that you made seemed to be incorrect. with the information that was given. To have a proper analysis then you need to provide chipstacks, # of players, action that has already occured in the hand etc...

2. You should be going all in with medium pair in middle position unless you were shortstacked. 3. Your complaining that you won? You shouldn't have went all in. You should just raise 3-4x the big blind. If he still folds, well he obviously didn't have much fo a hand. 4. Lucky draw. You made the right decision to fold. Remeber, it's how you play the hand, not the result. |

1.Fold pre-flop 2. Either limp or make a pre-flop raise(not an all in push unless of course you are short stacked.) 3. Would it have made a diffrence if he folded with the normal 3-4X BB raise. Rather be safe then sorry here cause you didn't let him see the flop for free, that is a good thing even with a little bit won. 4.Great play cause if you did call more then likely that flop wouldn't have happened.

Wow, I hope you're joking. If not, LUCK is the only operative word you mentioned of any importance because you didn't make the right plays. K9- either fold or small raise to try and steal the blinds, fold to any reraise 88- limp in and try to hit a set or pair higher than the board AA- raise the hell out of it and try to get a call, all-in preflop is ridiculous in a MTT, even though I see it WAYYY too much. A7- good fold to a raise, because most likely you're outkicked with an Ace on the flop, you can't play every hand an hope to get lucky Do you have much success in MTT with this style of play? I play a much tighter style and can't find much success in MTT besides freerolls. Maybe loosening up and getting luckiy is the only way to win money in these things?

It sounds like you're getting too caught up and are getting impatient. Poker is about PATIENCE! 1) K9 is not a solid hand....I know you know this, and you should fold it! 2) Standard coinflip - in order to win an MTT online, you need to win several of these. You lost this one - it happens. A pocket pair doesn't always hold up, and unless you're very shorstacked here, I don't suggest allins with PPs less than JJ to be safe. 3) You went all in with only a limper in the hand? Did you really expect him to call you? Raise something like 60, or even less and don't be disappointed to only get a call then fold on the flop, or even fold PF. It happens. 4) Don't be results oriented. I've seen hundreds (literally) of hands that I 'would have won' had I stayed in the hand. But if I had started playing 85s just because it 'would have' won me a big pot a while back, I'd be just another donkey. Don't EVER look at a hand as 'what would have happened' if you had stayed in. This is a terrible, and very unprofitable train of thought that can lead to bad play. I'm also sensing some sarcasm in this post (excuse me if you're serious), but also get the feeling that you're genuinely stressing... My advice is to take a serious break (a week +), and seriously question why you play poker. You're still new to the game, and will most probably not see constant success for a while just like the rest of us. Read some books (HoH series is highly recommended) to give you a better idea of what solid play is, then reread them. Good luck
