Can Anyone help me with images?

How do you all take those screen shots? i have absolutly no idea how to copy images to threads! can anyone please help me out with this problem! thanks everyone!

If you only want the program window copied and not the whole desktop press the alt key then print screen (print scrn) button and open paint (On XP - start/All Programs/Accessories/Paint) and on the Edit drop down list select paste. You can then save the file in the format you want (jpeg etc).
