can anyone help. can anyone see where im going wrong.. when i play online poker, i win quite a bit. but my tilt spree allways kills my bankroll. i never put on more than 20 dollars at a time anyway. but when i play live games.. i never win. i cant seem to understand the difference. i allways play the same people live. (mybrother included) and his winnings are nothing short of brilliant. he turned 0$ on full tilt into 500$ plus more i believe. it makes me challenge my own intelligence. he does read poker books and we both sit down and watch poker video's but im more emotional than him. i dont ever remember him crying. and i can watch a sad film and still bring on the water works so! i really need an outsider point of veiw about what to do. i wish someone would watch me play. but of course that would mean some poor individual would have to watch a full days donking lol perhaps i should stop playing the game. but i dont allways donk. thats more recent anger play. in the last 2 months iv cashed in 4 freerolls. i came first in the united kingdom freeroll last month. and my brother came 3rd in the same tourney! when we play together we both play better. as a collective mind. my other tilty (down £2000) friend often sets me off on a shit playing session. but i cant exacly tell him he ruins the fun and my mood when we play poker. he just gets nasty and a real jerk when he loses. alot of info about my games... i know. bt i want to be up £300 instead of down £200-300 (over 3 years) in micro limits.

I would say if your tilt is brought on from a bad beat, then just try to tell yourself that in poker that happens. If your tilting because you're playing bad, then get up and walk around, take a break, and come back when you clear your head. Or try to play through it and fix it at the table instead of away from the table, but this will be tougher.

Hmmmm. Scratches head. Looks Away. Looks Back.. HMMMM. Ok. Couple things. 1. You and your bro playing together in the same tourneys as a "Collective Mind"? Im pretty sure thats called something else too. 2. Your a Cryer huh? Please dont tell me you cry at the felt? Online or live. If you have... Please Tell. 3.KNOWING why your losing money is MORE than half the battle. You said "My tilt Spree" (LOL) Stop That. 4. You ABSOLUTELY can tell your "tilty friend" to Kick Stones. It can go something like this... "Dude your a f$#!king buzzkill. Beat It!" You know why your bro is a dick when he loses? Because he wants to win. Use your emotions to your advantage. Not trying to beast on you or anything but it sounds to me like you need some tough love. Soooo... Quit your crying, Pull your pants up, and get back in the game soldier! ps. I cry during movies too.

re: can anyone help. poker I think you just explained it quite well yourself. Your brother and you seem to understand the same basic points, but he is better able to handle himself and detach himself when the cards go bad. A big part of winning consistently is knowing how to handle when people suck you out. You can't get too emotionally attached no matter how badly you get sucked out, there's always another tourney, another hand, another chance.

Stop comparing your wins/losses to other people's. Look at what your brother's doing and how he plays certain situations. If you're making the right moves and still lose, don't change your game because of the outcome. You will lose with the best hand when the river comes. Guaranteed. If you have major leaks in your game, don't try to find them by talking to your donk friend, he's not gonna help you. Post some hands here and we'll see what we can find.

Just to add it seems like your worrying about losing money before you even get a hand, this is bad and speaking from experience will do your game more harm than good. Play the best poker you can and try too see they chips and just that chips, watching people loose 10k - 100k pots online amazing for that, imagine how little losing a few dollars here and there is in the grand scheme. Maybe thats a skill all great players have distance for the value of cash (to an extent) and playing based on experience.

re: can anyone help. poker My husband get really up set when he is playing(we have replaced 5 key board, 3 desk, 5 monitors, and I don't know how may chairs) Because of him getting mad at this game, but one thing is no matter how mad he gets he still plays the hands the same. You need to know the range you are playing and always stick to them. Having a hud to show you how people at your table is playing so you know when a shove of K7 on some one who raises 70% of the time is a good play not a tilt play. Even if you can not stop your emotions you need to just stick to the play no matter what.

Being a sensitive person can also have it's advantages in poker as well. I think it makes certain people more intuitive to their opponents around them. But you need to learn to control them when things don't always go your way. Don't give up on poker just yet! It sounds like you have a lot of fun playing, but if it's hurting your bankroll perhaps you should just play for fun for awhile until you master your own playing style.

Winners! If you do win some real money online...stop for a little while and let it sink in...do NOT give it all back and feel like you just broke even...maybe try taking a little out ...(ask for a check)...once you see real money...you will stop giving it BACK!
