Cake Cake Cake (to get Aloevera's attention)
It is the million dollar freeroll SERIES. The whole series is worth a million. The Sept. 30 final is worth $100,000 broken down paying the top 30 as $75,000, $10,000, $5000, $2500, $1000, five $500, ten $300, ten $100. Presently there are 807 entries, so expect ~1000. 30 places paid, 3%. Compare to 1% payout (27 of 2700) at the Full Tilt Poker freeroll for $100 total. So, if you make the monthly final, you have a reasonable chance at a good prize and a slim chance at a GREAT prize, and all for free.
The $350 bankroll freeroll final every Saturday distributes $350 among 60 top places out of 500, or 12%. Not a bad spread. Prizes from $65 to $6 at the final table, others range down to $1.20. None of this $0.21 poop that you can't use anywhere (there are tournaments down to $1.10 and ring games with minimum buy-ins down to $0.50). Also all for free. I can't play the satellites this week because I will not be available for the finals. Just wait until next week, though. I can play more like 8 hours a day instead 2 or 3. The joys of being laid off! Not for me. I retired (with retirement benefits) about ten years ago and went to work as a contract engineer (mostly back to the same company) and ran my own business when not contracting up until last January. Then my old company called me back for a "temporary part time job but let's start out as full time". It has been FULL time (two week days off 'til last week) and now I may be eilgible for unemployment since I did not leave of my own choice. I am about ready to REALLY retire.
