I'm not commenting on any other government policy but I absolutely hate this! Paradise Poker and Sportsbook have shutdown their link making it nearly impossible for me to make my weekly football wagers. I'd been making on average $100 a week betting on NFL games....oh well

As a matter of fact, all the "enemies of freedom" that Bush professes to be fighting , Osama and the Ayatollahs , hate online poker or any form of gambling. |

this is ****ing ridiculous!! I have been away from this site but I had to come here and say something. I play at partypoker and I can no longer play there for money . I am unable to work and so I have made a living of this and had worked out so far. I even bought a big screen tv (sweet!) with my earnings and have been able to get by with my winnings. If people want to gamble money, then let them do that. I look at this at a form of entertaiment and a safe one at that. Since I started playing online poker , I have managed to stay away from bars or other places that could be worst.I dont understand how this is much different then a casino . I havent been to casinos alot but the few times that I been there to play poker I made some money , so what the hell is the difference? There's way bigger problems that the gov should concentrate on then a simple game of poker which brings joy to millions. I am so mad at this and I hope we can at least keep some part of online poker and I dont mean that play for free crap. Just another reason to hate the government

First they take My Pot. then they try to regulate my guns. Now THIS!!!! Why are they taking all our Vices? This is Just further proof that las vegas has way more say than the millions of people who play poker online everyday. now you tell me, is that a democracy. Online gambling was hurting only one group. people who run casino's. now if the casino's were just a little bit smarter they would have started their own online poker sites. but vegas is a desert full of retards (kiddies watch out for the profanity here) And I SAY **** YOU VEGAS!!!

Here are some of the other great things Clinton did (in no particular order) 1. Reduced our military too drastically, even after numerous terror attacks. 2. Though the WTC bomber was convicted, did nothing to stop further attacks. When further attacks came, he swore to seek justice, but did nothing. (He actually intentionally passed up a chance to have Osama Bin Laden killed). 3. Separated info sharing between the CIA and the FBI that prevented both from getting the proper intel prior to 9/11. 4. Committed purgery under oath (this would be about the hummer and smoking kitty dipped cigars) 5. Gave nuclear secrets away to North Korea. 6. Mogadishu 7. Bosnia

Just putting in my 2 cents but I think Both Gore and Clinton would have signed this bill also. Clinton ran his entire policy on poll data and I'm sure most polls would have more people in favor of this bill than against it (most would probably have no opinion). Has anyone heard of Gore, Clinton or any other major polititian speak out against this bill? I haven't. Remember it wasn't just republicans that voted for this bill but many, many democrates too. Saying Gore or Clinton wouldn't have signed this bill isn't living in reallity. I'm not going to argue about the merits of any particular president on other matters, that's different opinions which we are all entittled too, but don't think for a second that a democratic president wouldn't have signed this bill also.

You guys don't get it do you Democrat's republican's whats the difference these guys dont answer to us they answer to the Corporate Scum they work for .This is about organized gambling like Vegas and Atlantic City they will gain so much now that online gambling is dead . Don't fall for the moral ground they would love for you to buy that bull shiat .As far as terrorism thats just crazy Any American Corporate Co can launder anyones dirty laundry. As long as they invest it in the U S stock market it;s not reported but if i deposit 10,000 the bank has to report it to the government .Trust me guys this is just the beginning you watch more and more of your civil liberties are going bye bye Mod edit: Stay on topic, and please don't insult us all with stupid conspiracy videos. ~DM Last edited by Dorkus Malorkus : 15th October 2006 at 5:51 AM.

i think its crazy that its against the law to play online, but i can go to a poker room in my city - in a state where gamling is "illegal". we also have lottery and horse racing. . . anyway, i just don't understand the rationale behind this. politics is such a monstrous beast, and its too big and old to change at this point. . .

Can we rename this country to something else? Screw putting youngblood in congress...they will just take there 6-8 year college degree and **** up this country more than it already is. Whats next on the ban list Porn?....wtf...I can't gamble online anymore? But it's ok for a man to toss another mans salad? Here is a small list of stuff you can't do anymore in this country. 1. Smoke 2. Play cards online. 3. Look at a hot babe a work. 4. Bring a tube of toothpaste on an airplane. 5. Tackle a quarterback and so on.

Kind of a nice summary, I think..."Only in America can you find a veteran sleeping in a card board box while a draft dodger sleeps in the White House." |

Excellent chatter boys Probably the best thread I’ve read on a forum yet. Go Mets, Giants kick the cowgirls bums. That said I think chris understands the bigger picture. Its not about poker or what puppet has the final signature. The U.S. government and the capitalist system in the U.S has become completely F***ed. If you think about it there isn’t any governmental system that has really survived the test of time. This whole internet poker ban attempt is just one more example of the U.S. government being the exact opposite of a representative government. Money is the ultimate motivation for the power structure the controls what we are now allowed to do as members of this free nation. Vegas should be kneeling down and bending over for internet poker sites. Think of the money they make at wsop time, its not casino’s pushing this bill. It’s uncle sam that wants to get paid, because the only U.S based legal websites are on Indian Reservations which probably don't pay the government at all. Sadly if it does happen (million man poker march on Washington!!!) I can just go get staked by some native Americans and start living at the casino down the road again. Point is if you live in the U.S. your only free to the point that our government sais you are. Sound like any other kinda governments that have fallen?
