bulding a bankroll I wonder if anyone can help me, I have been playing poker for 4 years. I am just above average Tourney player. Just below average in cash games. I play limit & no limit holdem, mostly NL. My problem is i am very bad at money managment. My poker funds are limited at the moment with $70.00 which i have put into Full Tilt. What games & money limits would you play to buld up your bankroll & how without going broke

I would play only (at most) $5 ones until you can build up some more cash though. Good luck... |

Well this is what i did to build my BR from 50$(around 700now),it takes a some time but is worth it cause u dont have to deposit again. I played 1$sng and mtt untill i got to about a 100$ BR and then moved to 2-3$ sng/mtt,when u get to that level if u managed to cash in 180man or the 90KO youre BR will incress rather quikly and at around 250$ u can start trying the 5$sng/mtt(u can move up quiker but this is just what worked for me) With that i whouldnt play any NL ring games since the lowest on Full Tilt Poker is 10NL(obvs. u could buy-in for the min but i whouldnt recament it),if you whant u could play the lowest level limit holdem ring games. I whould recament atleast 300$ for 10NL but thats just me there are alot of people how start there wit alot lease but im kinda cautios. Here are some great articles on the matter: How to Build Your Online Poker Bankroll: Where you Should Start Bankroll Management http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/chris-ferguson-challenge Good luck and i hope it works out for you. You just have to find the BRM that suites your playing style and your BR will be going up in no time

re: bulding a bankroll poker if you have never made a deposit on carbon they let you play in new depositor freerolls for 1 week. there are also new player freerolls, but the fields are big and the money little but free anyway. to build your bankroll play .25/.50 cent limit to get the points to play in the freerolls. 1000 mon/fri sat $2000 sunday 10000 and 50000 last sunday of the month. you have to play alot of limit but its not to bad. have build my bankroll from 50 to 800 this way. just my advice take it or leave it.

FT isn't great for starting a bankroll imo. I don't play there but i think the rake at the low level cash games is absolutely extreme, so i'd say just try focus on the SnGs until you can generate bit of a BR. I'd play 2 or 3$ SnGs with that BR, but do your best to advoid games that have 20% fees (it might only be the 1$ games that charge this). If you are inclined to go broke, then try to play with at least 30 buy ins (including the fees), and you shouldn't go broke on a bad run unless you are a losing player. So if you were to follow this you would play 2.25$ until you reached 100$ when you could start 3.30$, then play until you have $165 and start 5.50$ etc etc

Dont play 10NL at FT, they take 10% rake. I would play the $2-3 S&Gs (I believe the rake is high on these as well, but you arent really rolled for the $5 S&Gs) til you have around 150, then move up to the $5 S&Gs. If you want to take a little risk you could start out at the $5 S&Gs and hope you dont hit a bad run right away. With $70, if you are a good player, its not likely you will go broke playing the $5s, but there is a chance.
