LOL I remember like ayear ago I mentioned that they should have a software that you could have you set and lock to only th e limits your BR in your cashier could sustain...It could work and be a good idea, bad for the sharks though cus I mean they feed on the tilting micro players who go up in limits with their whole BR...

Yeah I was thinking it would be nice to be able to set your preferences, types of games you play and basic info like that and that way it can be setup per player and each benefit from it however suits them best.
It was just a thought. I was looking around for one but couldnt find anything so it got me thinking. *Id still love to hear more thoughts on it. |

Actually you dont haf to use any software for BRM. lets say u start ur day with $1000 and would like to stop if u r down 10% which is $100 u can buy in full with NL5 4 table. if u r bust, dun top up. juz quit 1 table.. in tis case it control the limit u r losing...

I think it would have to be in the poker site software itself to actually work. I wouldnt purchase the software since I can somewhat control myself and only take shots at the edge of my BR after a nice win, not after a loss. Playing with freeroll winnings I have already grown a small little BR a couple times and then lost it playing drunk that now I stay in control and it has earned me some money.

Tracking yea, I mean you could setup an excel spreadsheet to do it for you, but what I got from a lot of the comments was something that makes it impossible for you to go out of your BRM in which case it would most likely need to be in the poker site software.
*And, I doubt, any poker site would add a feature like this cause they want you paying as much rake/fees as possible and going out of correct BRM pays them more. *With Access and Excel you could setup a database and spreadsheet that automatically updated your bankroll and showed you the correct amount to be playing with, but I don't really see this as help since people know correct BRM and still go out of it. Oh, i see. Well, you could set up a script to auto close the program based on some percentage loss, but you would be able to open it back up again. Youre right though, doesnt really seem possible unless it was internal to lock you out of your account for a certain amount of time.

re: BRM Software? poker
I wasnt really saying that it wouldnt allow you to play any longer or auto close (maybe that could be a setting though)...I also wasnt really thinking about money or how many people would buy it.
If it did happen I think the best way for it to work is when your at your days limit or whatever it pops up and tells you "your at your limit, this is what you have lost" or even "you have lost this, review these hands, take a break, blah blah" And like mentioned above there could be a setting the user chooses to auto close the program if you hit or go over your limit a certain amount. I also agree that you can easily do without one but I think if players can see it all up front they are much more likely to stick to it. |

I use pokerstars and on there cash game filter u can check a box that says maximum $ and I put $5 in there since i have less than $100. If ur the person who is breaking BRM then u need more discipline. Get ur BR upto $200 then loose it in seconds. That'll make u use BRM properly. |
