| Bounty tournaments It seems that I can make it to the final 2 tables in half the bounties I play in but what happens often is I get there without collecting any bounties I can't seem to knock ppl out. What should I be doing differently in my game and thanks in advance for you comments. |

| re: Bounty tournaments poker Sorry, winning bounties is the problem I mean I can win bounties at the final table but anything before that not too much. My game is tight and I can wait till my cards come in and I'm not affraid to be taken out of a game by the blinds. That's all I can say because I don't give out my play and I don't even show my cards unless I get a four of a kind. Thanks for your reply. Quote:

| You'll win enough bounties on the final table to get your buy-in back if that's what you're worried about. Otherwise I wouldn't change anything in your game if you are consistently making it to final tables, there may not be anything wrong with your game. |

| re: Bounty tournaments poker Dont get distracted by KO's. The people who make the final table bragging about collecting a dozen bounties are A)usually playing far too loose. and B)usually NOT regular cashers. Stick to your tight game. If your regularly making final tables and worrying about not taking out too many opponents, just play a regular freeze-out game. No bounties means more in the prize pool, plus the LAG players (usually!) get punished instead of rewarded. |

| You shouldn't be playing in Bounty tournaments. From the sounds of things, and the style of your play, why not just play in normal tournaments, can you still make it deep in these type. The payout if always better since they don't have to give alot of the money on bounties. |

Maybe I misunderstand? Are you asking for advice, then saying you won't reveal how you play? This is a poker forum. We discuss hands and play styles and strats. If you aren't willing to do your part the advice given will not be correct, or will be so general that it won't be helpful. To answer the original question based on the information given: Go all in more often and earlier and knock more people out = more bounties. Problem solved. |

| Maybe it didn't come out right but I'm not trying to keep my play a big secret but this is my first poker forum and I am paranoid about letting on to my play. Don't want to come off as some hose and I do appreciate all the input so far. The only reason I play Bounty games is so I have a chance of winning more cash knowing I can make it down to the final 1 or 2 tables most times but it seems that when I do there aren't many bounties to be had. Thanks again folks. |
