| Books en route, which to read first? Hey all. Im an intermediate poker player, and recently made a decision to commit more to upping my game in hopes of become a winning player. I will/do play SNG's and MTT's. Im staying away from cash for the most part for now, but will likely give it a try in the future. Anyways, I bought the following books online after doing some research on the best books. I know I bought a lot at once, but I wanted to do it right. (I think I did at least ) The list: - Phil Gordons Little Green Book - Phil Gordons Little Blue Book - Theory of Poker - Harrington on Hold'em Vol. 1,2,3 - Sit n go Strategy (Moshman) - Tournament poker for advanced players So which do you Think I should read first, and in which order. Does it make a huge difference? Some say Theory of Poker should be read first to get the solid foundation, others say it shouldn't be the first book you read. I may start with Phil Gordons books, then go to TOP and go from there. Also, were these good selections? Are there any you wouldn't recommend or would add? Thanks in advance. |

| re: Books en route, which to read first? poker I agree with bigjoker. The Harrington books are excellent. His discussion on stack size vs. the blinds and antes and how you should play accordingly is a concept that is crucial in tournaments. Colin Moshman's book is also very good. It will definitely improve your Sit N Go game as well as your MTT game. |
