| "Bonus Whoring". Why not? I see online players having played 10,000 , 20,000 or more games under the same account, show off on leaderboards etc I really dont understand this.... Why not try every (trusted) poker site of one or more poker networks and collect every bonus that you can find?? If you are under a bonus promotion means that you get a lot more money for every game that you are playing. Lets say that I play on Fulltilt and for every dollar raked I get 7 player points. In a $55+5 sng,for example, I get 35 pp which translates to 35x$0.06= $2.1 Well, if I play good enough I get feeble 5% ROI which means I earn $60x0.05=$3 for every game played. Now, adding $3+$2.1 = $5.1 for a nice 8.5% ROI!! Thats a 50% increase on the money you are earning!!! I want to see your opinions about the topic. | Well there are only so many bonus offers, if you see people with 10ks of games at a single site + on LBs, they are probably quite profitable multitabling players, and the added bonus would not be a benefit to them for long. Maybe they have already taken bonus offers, or maybe they are comfortable with the software/support/security where they are and don't think its worth the trouble to hop between sites...some of which wouldn't have enough action. If you're multitabling sngos on Pokerstars, going to a smaller site that has one sng/hour go off will not be more profitable b/c of some bonus. |

| Well, I disagree that you won't win money with promotions. I'm currently working my way through Red Star's initial deposit and have cleared about $80 of bonus money and am also up just playing my usual game (PLO) that I play on various Cake skins. It all depends on what game(s) you like playing, any kickbacks you can get from referring sites, if there are various skins on a network like Cake, rakeback, etc. I know that I wish I had given a little more thought about a couple signups I made back in the day where I could have maxed out a deposit bonus if I had waited or maybe signed up through a different site to get a better promotion, a gift certificate/book/etc. Do some research into the various sites that you are able to sign up for and don't just go bonus whoring willy-nilly. |

Im talking of course about the first-deposit bonus that nearly every poker site offers. I think you win a lot of money from these. I always try to suscribe to a new site which I can get the maximum bonus it offers. As I build my bankroll and moving up on buyin levels, I try higher bonuses on different sites. I believe that is a very good way to speed up your bankrolling. |

| The problem you'll run into bonus whoring is that the lesser known sites will typically be filled with better players who are... wait for it... bonus whoring! It's been argued many times in the past that you'd be a whole lot better off practicing good game selection on a more popular site... that, of course, presumes you're a winning player. |

Look, if you play on Ongame, or maybe Cake network for US players, you can try all diferent skins they have and collect their bonuses. Same rooms, same players. |

Humor aside, he is right. If you are good at particular game and style, you will make more money sticking with what you are good at than changing site to site chasing down bonuses that aren't always that easy to achieve. Some are good, some not so good and if you've gone after enough bonuses then you learn the difference. |

| re: "Bonus Whoring". Why not? poker wth is with all the bonus whoring hate ITT? Poker is about making money, bonus whoring can change what would be a losing/break even player into a winning player when u include bonuses/rackback in to your winrate so why wouldnt u take advantage of it? obvs studying the game and working on improving would probably increase your winrate even further but why not do both? You should obvs consider if your current sites VIP system will make you more then other sites bonuses in witch case moving sites would be silly. |
