Bodog structure sucks scrotum..

Is it me or does the bodog structure suck ass.. Average blinds throughout the tourney is only like 15-20.. You lose a pot and youve already gon down half your chips.. So stupid..

Also on that note, is shoving A8 suited stupid with 7 BB left.. Big stack limped in before and had AJ.. Im thinking it was really effing stupid.. Had another 4 or 5 rotations of the board..

This is the funniest title of the year !! First of all you need to clarify what exactly sucks about the structure. I also think that is a bad beat post, so this should be moved there. I personally only like the structure of fulltilt, absolute poker, and pokerstars.

Probably a little early for that push, but I've done it many times myself, especially if I'm card dead...after an hour or so of no cards, A8 looks like AA to me. Impatience can get the best of almost anyone.

Like any site you have to adjust to the starting chip stack and blind structure.

IMO shoving with A8 soooooooooooooted is stupid at almost any time. Just saying with 7 BB dosen't mean much, more info needed what were the blind levels at.

Yes, I've noticed that, in the later stages of 9-handed tournaments, the average stack tends to be pretty close to twenty big blinds. Hadn't realised that was anything to do with Bodog - what's your problem with the structure, presumably that the blinds are going up too quickly at that stage? I've only really played on Bodog and ipoker, and was under the impression that in iPoker blinds went up faster, two levels tends to correlate to a doubling of the blinds.

With regard to the hand in question, there's nothing like enough information there. The key thing is - have you seen this player open-limp before? What did he have, how did he react to raises? Also, what position are you in, and what are the stack sizes around you? etc.

If it wasn't for the limper, shoving there would almost certainly be reasonable. You don't have anything like four-or-five rotations of the board, you should be looking to make a stand while you still have fold equity.

He is saying that the average stack is 15-20 x the big blind for most of the tournament, not that blinds are t15-t20.

And, no, you don't need more information as to what the blinds actually are: saying you have 7 x the bb is sufficient to understand that situation.

Anyway, bodog's tournament structure isn't any worse than any other site, and may in fact be better (although I believe it has changed somewhat since this analysis).

I really enjoy the tournaments on bodog. Are you talking about a freeroll? I know the freeroll structure is different than an actual buyin tournament.
