BoDog poker
To make a long story short, I'm trying to find a new place to play poker and I've come across Bodog. I dont really know anything at all about the site other than that it is also a sports betting site. I was wondering if you guys had any infor about the actual layout/graphics, promotions/bonuses, ease of cashout, etc. If anyone plays there and has any experiences I would appreciate the info. Thanks in advance!

From what I hear, the ring games there are soooooft as are the S&G's. Some limits and games are not jam packed with players at all times like the huge sites. Tournament structures aren't the best and only minor software gripes such as the account balance on the lobby not updating after a tourney win until logging out then back on, or some such nonsense. Suppose to be fixed with a software upgrade soon. Other than that I haven't heard much. All of this is second hand info, so your mileage may vary.

I've played a little on BoDog. The software is fine on speed and userfriendlyness. It's a simple interface. It's a table with a rectagle for each player. No fancy avatars, not even any chairs. I'ts an ok site. I played with freeroll money, so I don't realy know about the bonus and promotion aspect.

bodog
i played on bodog for a little bit. yes, it is a sportsbook site which means that there is a looooooot of action. the betting can be fast and furious with incredible hands being played. remember, if you are playing against a bunch of guys that wager large amounts of money on bets, who really cares about a few wild bets here and there. if you can handle the swings then i guess its okay. the cashouts were easy and i had no problems. the interface is boring and i question the random generator. i hate generators that hold the last card for a couple of seconds...seems a bit fishy to me. flops tend to hit multiple hands. i know, i know, conspiracy theory, more hands online than in a brick and mortar...but it just seems this site generates a lot of action to create a lot of rake! bodog offers reload bonuses and match bonuses. there arent that many games going late at night. would stick with the main, big sites.

I have only played freerolls there Crippler. The gameplay and interface seem fine. Something I have read more than Once though is that the Sports book gamblers like to play the poker games, especially after a big win on Sundays. With the NFL just starting it seems that it would be a good time to try this site.

In the coming days I know Nick will be posting a forum link to a new site called Pokershare.com. It's basically a skin of UltimateBet and has a profit sharing program built in. They have approached him for advertising and I expect a good bonus deal. I played quite a bit on Ultimatebet and it's not bad. When Nick gets the link up I'm going to check it out myself...
