Bodog players... Revolt!

I'm sure many of you Bodog players out there are just as frustrated as I am by the fact that we can't copy our hand histories out of the Bodog software for use in forums & hand converters and the like. Yesterday I sent a complaint to the Bodog Customer Support about this and they forwarded it to their development department. I'd like to ask for all of your help to get this ever so ANNOYING handicap in the software changed by taking 2 minutes of your time and sending an email politely complaining and asking them to add this simple feature for us! Even if you don't play Bodog you'd still be helping those of us who do in the poker community and in the forums. Thanks for your time for reading this and please help us get this changed by sending an email regarding this issue to service@bodoglife.com, hope you all have a great day. Peace.

You can copy them, m8. This:

http://www.cardschat.com/f46/crushed...tourney-94726/

is a Bodog HH, one of several I have posted here. They take a little more polishing up than most, because they have some graphics which become garbled in translation, but it is far from being beyond the wit of us intrepid CCers to get the job done.

Awesome but where can I find this hand converter at and do I have to use a hand grabber? I don't use dog watch hand grabber because it doesn't work multitabling so It's useless to me.

I have tried a couple of different ways of doing it, looking for the easiest.

The example I linked to was done in a very straightforward fashion: in the Bodog HH window, CTRL-A followed by CTRL-C. Open a blank Word document, then CTRL-V. This copies the whole lot into Word.

Delete any garbled graphics or unnecessary bits, then transplant the result into the CC editing window by the same copy and paste method.

Finally, insert the card graphics using the CC smilies. This last is quickly done by using keyboard shortcuts. For example (colon,a,s,colon) produces the Ace of Spades graphic.

It takes 5 minutes work, but it`s not rocket science, assuming you are accustomed to working in Word (or any similar WP package of your choice).

Ahh I see now, thanks for the tip. It never occurred to me to try using the keyboard shortcuts in the bodog client. Although I still think they could make it easier and more compatible with other softwares.

Well, while you all are at it, why not email them requesting that Bodog implement player-to-player transfers?

Ya I mean Calvin Ayre is one rich mother ****er but the bodog poker software is a bit simple. He needs to hire a 2nd or 3rd person to help work in the development department cuz I think the one guy that works in there is spending all his time at redtube.com.

The Bodog software is intended to be functional rather than overly pretty and deliberately takes a different route from (for example) Full Tilt`s cartoon approach (which many players dislike, it`s all a matter of taste).

It is developed with input from an expert user group. I know, because I am on it. (Only one of several though, don`t get the idea that I am overly important.)

JQ`s suggestion about player transfers is a good one, which I will report back. Any other constructive suggestions ?

Yeah, I have a hard time figuring out how much money I've won after placing in an SNG. I usually have to go and hunt down a similar one to see the payouts, or check my account record. As far as I can tell there's no individual lobby for each SNG with payouts, chip counts, etc. -- or if there is, I can't find it. Could be a blonde thing, though....

Yes please....allow full screen tables, us old folks have a hard time seeing it. Reading glasses don't help a bit.

There is a small control to the right of the playing area on the boundary between it and the right-side information panels. Click on it, and the playing area expands to fill the screen.

Payout information for all active tournaments (ie. those running or registering) is available in the SNG portion of the main lobby. Click on any tournament, and an info panel appears on the right. The payouts are the first item of information shown.

Once your tournament is completed, it disappears from the lobby. If you have not already noted the payouts you can, as you say, look at any other similar one. There is no need to go hunting. Click on the column heading "Buyin" and the games are sorted by buyin. Then just scroll down until you find the level you are interested it.

Egon! What a fantastic little bit of information to learn. Now, how can I exploit it? (I kid, I kid!) It would be great if they could somehow get the transfer option up and running. Let us know what you find out.

I`ll try, Tammy. They haven`t been in touch lately.

I told them that the company was putting too much effort into building up Calvin Ayre`s cult status, and that (even though his mother presumably loves him) this seemed to me to be a blind alley and irrelevant to us poker players.

I suspect this may have been advice they were not ready to hear.

That full screen method isn't much help egon. It really is 'wide screen'.

What we want are sizeable screens.

I had $10 in there for the Friday game, but a combination of the hideously dull pay (seriously, a 5/10 level with 1,500 starting chips?) and constant aggrevation with trying to get on, meant a $10 bet on England +13 v Austrailia, and a cash out of $20 + uninstall.

HORSE games

T$ & Poker Points Tables

Being able to make the screen larger - much agreed - it's hard to 'sit back' and see the table (for older eyes). I know on some sites you can make the table as large as your screen.

Transfers - Agreed

[on the casino side] maybe some $.05, $.10 or $.25 table games - craps, let em' ride, roulette, tri-card... (or just add the amounts to the current tables) I'm a small stakes player, as many probably are, and I'd easily donate $20 or so, but it's not as fun when it's only 20 tries as apposed to 80+ :-)

Bodog has a lot of problems, but it's just wayy too hard to want to leave, due to all the fish beckoning me to say.

Seriously. If I see another "TomBradyisGOD" like sn on there I"m going to die. Half the names are sports-related because they're on the site for sportsbook and "decided to give poker a try" since they already have money there.

Well Ive tried that and I'll try it again but all I've ever gotten the tab to do is go farther horizontally not vertically. Thanks for the tip, now if I could get the felt and the cards to be in more contrast and yes I've tried all their colour combos lol.

How about a "split pot" option once a tourney goes heads up?

bodog is great for loose juicy games in both holdem and PLO at the low blind levels but the software is probably the worst of all the big rooms and networks. Poker stars hand histories are weak also. All hand histories should be pictures like Fulltilt and Absolute. Cheers
