Is Bodog crashing for anyone?

This just about never happens. But when I launch Bogod, I get a message "Bodog Poker client application has encountered a problem & needs to close." Maybe reboot. but just did that. Hmmm...

Edited to add: So I rebooted, then relaunched Bodog. Said it had updates to install, which it did. Now it's fine. Why didn't it just tell me in the first place, sheesh.

Did you start here? Play Online Poker at Bodog Poker Room

If you've ever tried to install it before, make sure you delete or uninstall any of the old stuff. If it's not there in the 'add/remove programs' in the control panel, take a look in your 'program files' to double check and delete anything there first. Hope that helps.

Click on 'cashier' then click on 'payout'. There are all of 2 short paragraphs, the first of which is as follows:

"Once processed from your eCash account, a couriered check should arrive in approximately 40 business days. This delivery timeframe is only an estimate and may not reflect the actual date you receive your check."

Business days. That would be APPROXIMATELY 50 days? And just an ESTIMATE. It is mindboggling you did not either read or understand this.

Yeah, Bodog has gotten a little more difficult to get your payout. They want to send everyone a check and 40 days is what they say the average wait is to receive payment.

Money transfer is the way to go. I use Western Union. Bodog has a policy that you must have established a pattern of activity of making deposits through WU before they will let you make a withdrawal. Apparently this means more than one deposit.

I made one deposit after having this explained to me by one of their customer service reps ( and so far, every one of their reps has been unfailingly polite and professional with me) who indicated that I could make a withdrawal after one deposit to establish that "link" through WU. I then had to talk to 4 different people over the course of 2 1/2 days to have them actually perform on what I had been told. Apparently, they like to see more than one deposit to establish that link. My problem is that after making a first deposit a couple of years ago, I have had no need to deposit again.

If I were going to set my Bodog account up to bypass these problems I would make a few small deposits over the course of a couple of months through the money transfer method I wanted to use to establish the "link" to remove their ability to object to using money transfer for withdrawal.

Oh, and if you are not doing this online, but over the phone, make sure you tell the rep that you are making a withdrawal USING MONEY TRANSFER or they will throw you right into the pile of payouts by check WITHOUT ASKING YOU YOUR PREFERENCE.

Hope this helps.

Did anyone else get kicked out last night from the $500 guaranteed freeroll?

Despite having to log back in TWICE, I still finished a respectable 80th. On top of the 64th place showing in the afternoon $500 guaranteed, I'd say yesterday was the most successful 24 hours I've had this year...

I get updated on bootup frequently but no crashing. I think it is a glitch in theur newest update because I see no changes on user input or graphics. Don't mind as long as It doesn't start causing troubles with booting me out of their games , how annoying that would be!

Mystroman I had thiis happen to me also from time to time nothing to do with updates since problem happen before then. Only thing I could do to straighten the autofold problem was reboot into Bodog and everything is back to normal. The first time it happened I lost out on several pots because of the autofold.

Bodog works ok for me. Thank god for the update as it was almost impossible to play it with another poker room open. LOL. Ive lost hands on other sites while playing bodog at the same time. If switching tables or something it takes over my comp and I cant get to the other site to play what I started . Bodog is not one of my fav sites.

bodog works for me very well, never have had problems.

You can also try to empty your TEMP folder,
right click onto Start button on your pc
left click onto Explore
left click onto Documents & settings
left click onto your name
left click onto Local settings
left click onto Temp
in right side windows sellect all and hit Del
click ok
few of them you will not be able to delete, but you can repeat this proces until you got almost all cleaned up.

Try this and let us know how did it went.

Hope this help.

Very sincerely

I didn't read all of the posts so if this has been said before..........

You have to remove prior installations completely, including registry entries if you know how.

Many of the problems I experienced had to do with screen drivers, make sure yours are updated.

Set the drivers to the highest resolution. Bodog runs on some computers at different resolutions, some it won't even start on and others you can switch resolutions. For some reason the opening screens run differently than the tables - the new software works a little better but is still tempermental if you have an older, slower machine. I have a very fast high memory desktop and I never have a problem, on my "old school" slower, lower memory, low resolution laptop I have many problems but most have work arounds.
