calvin ayre

I have been seeing this problem a lot from bodog members trying to get funds. Seems the checks come fast enough, but when they do they bounce, then you have to contact bodog, they offer to replace and pay bank charges, bodog says its their processors, which is probally true. I think, and this is just my opinion here that Calvin Ayre is the problem. I just believe the US is going to actively try to disrupt anything he has anything to do with here. I think its more for the sports betting than the poker in my opinion.

Bodog PokerBodog Poker is one of the few poker sites accepting US players that also offers a Sportbook and online casino games.

Just an update..got an email today with a tracking number for the replacement check being sent via courier (FedEx).

Took them umm 19 days to this point to get the replacement check in the mail (Feb 1st to today the 20th). Shouldn't take FedEx too long to get it here I wouldn't think. Hopefully this one is good .

I reciently cashed out this month. I cashed out a large ammount. I received my first check yesterday for $3,000. $3,000 is the maximum ammount they can payout per check according to them. I received the check after 10 days but was told the rest of my payout would be processed every 72 hours. Example if you cashedout $11,000, you would get (3k)(3k)(3k)(2k). But my huge problem is I dont have a bank account right now and am used to cashing my checks at check cashing stores like "amscot" or "ace". Only now when I tryed to cash the check they wont cash it. The bank the check(s) are drawn on are not located my my state. Now I'm going to have a few checks with nowhere to cash them. I guess I'll have to open a bank account and wait for the checks to clear. Also I have had 3 checks bounce from bodog in the past! ANDDD .... I tryed to get a payout using the new wire transfer option they have available they denied me and said those methiods are only available for customers depositing using those methiods. I love playing poker here but it's clear the site has some problems with payouts.

I told BofA that I was opening an account for security with online purchases and they waved the monthly fee making it free. If you tell them you are wanting to use the account for online purchases and that if it works out well you'll open an account with them for your daily needs, they will more than likely waive the monthly fee.

Most people here are quite bored with people suggesting that various sites are rigged. If a site was rigged, people would fairly soon come up with reasonable evidence, as happened with Ultimatebet.
did i miss something somewhere at some time? whats the problem with ultimatebet?

Bodog is starting to sound like a Ponzi scheme. Robbing Peter to pay paul. I might be wrong, but am in a court case now trying to get 60% of my money back. If I was a bodog winner, I wouldn't leave much money in there hands. good luck.

Speak for yourself. I for one, especially in regard to cash out problems, want to know about any irregularities another experiences with poker sites. Recently several networks/sites have taken a plunge DGS JunglePoker, BJO, SportsBook just to name a few. I define a plunge as having reported operational or security breaches, non-responsive cash out policies, poor customer service, going out of business or conducting themselves in any way I deem suspicious. A recent, popular example of this last category is a "policy" that goes something like this :
"Come join out poker site, it's great, you can win a zillion dollars in our widely advertised freerolls!" Oh yes I forgot, either in an obscure or non-published place we meant to tell you "Sorry you can't cash out your freeroll winnings until you deposit x amount of your own money and play x number of raked hands first - sorry".
This has manifest itself in various ways - the most obvious of which are reluctance to cashout, not cashing players out, bounced checks, being taken out of various forums tournament rotation, etc. Frequently the earliest, best way to find out first hand is a post by someone you know and trust more than the poker sites. I know several people on CC from other forums I participate in. They are smart and knowledgeable and if they say something about a site, I do my own checking but I listen.

Let me give a plug, One of them :
PkrPlr4116 recently interviewed Tom McEvoy for Bluff Magazine! KUDOS!!!!!
I was one of the last people I know to actually receive negotiable funds from BJO/Junglepoker. I have heard of their recent attempts to revive themselves on another network - still owing at least two people I know money.

I say if you have information, I certainly want to hear about it. I will assume your are telling the truth but I am able to make the final determination. I am puzzled why there is always someone who says - don't worry don't talk about poker site's there is no problem. I am reminded about a player on another forum who wrote extensively how "Absolute was fine,....how they could not be a problem and how tired he was of conspiracy theorists" . Well a week later the "Absolute/Potripper" fiasco surfaced not to mention theV0id and rumblings of other security breaches.

Even after being here only a few months, I can start to glean the "personality" of the members whose blogs I read. I can determine who is angry, thoughtful, knowledgeable,a smart-aleck, a jerk, chicken little, a sycophant and so on. I would rather have too much information than have it censored for me.

Thanks for all the info, whether I agree with it or not - I can survive rumor, error and innuendo. Hopefully I will learn much among these pages. If nothing else to be a better editor.

For the record, although I cannot vouch for the data or operational integrity of UltimateBet. I like the site, I have had no problems cashing out there, their "deal" seem OK to me, but because of their association with Absolute (Vegas 24/7) I will play only with money I win there. For me, I think that's prudent under the circumstances.

Bodog

What about the money transfer -- deposit directly to your ck. acct. You must deposit using this method to withdraw this way.

No, think about the people who bet the house on the Pat's because they were a "for sure" win. Heck the news stations were all talking about the parade problems the Pat's would have because they were GOING TO have to have the parade on Super Tuesday and the voting stations would be blocked... looked like everyone was able to vote OK

I'm thinking a $48,937,456.00 lawsuit may have hurt a tad. Anyone know if they were made to pay up?

Also, it takes FOREVER to get an SNG to fill up on there, even at their >$10 tables lately, which means they may have less $$ coming in for some reason.

bodog is a sportsbook first, horse racing otb second, and a poker room third....might have something to do with it. I personally don't play at bodog and from the sounds of this post probably wont in the future as well.

OMG don't even get me started on that one. I tried to cash out $17,000 after killing their BlackJack game. They held my money for TWO MONTHS.

Looks like the second check is good. Bank hasn't had any problem with it and they almost always would have by now.

glad that's over.

Have you emailed/called their customer support? Try that first. I haven't emailed them in a while, but they used to be very responsive.

Bodog

Is the money problems just with checks? What about the money transfer to ck. acct. Are they going through ?
