Just reading through a few posts and started laughing at some of the terms. What was funny is the term and what it really means.

Lets see if you guys can add a poker term with its real meaning.

I`ll start

"I started being creative with my card selection"...Real meaning "I was on tilt, could not hit a barn door with a tennis racket, so I started playing any crap from any position"

next...

I'm actually curious about where some poker terminology originated from. Such as the term "The Nuts" -- did it come from you having your opponent by the balls when you've got the best possible hand?

The story as I've heard it...
"The nuts" actually came from the old west. When a person felt he had the best possible hand he would bet the horse and wagon, putting the lug nuts on the table to show it.

Saw this on a t-shirt:

"Nice hand, sir. And by hand I mean catch, and by Sir I mean moron."

He carried the lug nuts around with him?

They had to be a spare set!

Wouldn't wheels would fall of his wagon if they weren't.
