Big Blind twice in a row??? Hey all As Im not 100% sure on what the rule is on this i thought i had best ask here for emailing the site. I was dealt the big blind twice in a row on the same table, Nobody had been knocked out on the hand previous to me getting my first big blind and nobody was knocked out on the hand when i was my first big blind if that makes sense. I was then the big blind again The dealer button was given to an empty seat on my second big blind but this seat had been empty for a min of 5 or so hands. As im not sure if this is correct or not any help would be much apreciated. Cheers Daryl

I might actually be wrong, Ive just gone over it again and in actually fact someone did go out! however it still seems abit odd, Im not sure how to get the hand historys out of pacific so this is the only way i could think of to show you. Im Dary1 Hand 1.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9236&d=1204806520) Hand2.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9237&d=1204806532) Hand3.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9238&d=1204806546) As you can see in the picture below someone has gone out and i have become the big blind, tapotour is the dealer. Hand4.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9239&d=1204806560) And on this picture below i am the big blind again and only the dealer button has moved to a seat that has been empty since the begining i think Hand5.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9240&d=1204806569) Cheers all

Wow that's dead wrong. They may as well make 7s better than 9s. I cannot believe a site that big (I've heard of it, so it must be semi-big) would have such a horrible programming error. Also did you check their terms? I know pokerstars just uses a moving button where once in a while people get to skip their blinds. But paying (the big) blinds twice in a row is just wrong. Email their support definitely.

Yeah, this is a programming error (as opposed to a stupid rule error). With the moving button rule you can miss blinds (at least in some poker site interpretation) but you should never have to pay them twice. If they used the dead-button rule you'd never get to skip them either.

Here are the three hands prior to me getting pocket A's He never had the big blind twice, The dealer button passed the empty seat. Ive not emailed support yet... not sure exactly what to say, the only thing i can think of is sending the pictures above to them and i guess they can check my history! Here are the hands starting with the one just before my AA before 1.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9285&d=1204859550) before 2.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9286&d=1204859550) before 3.JPG (http://www.cardschat.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9287&d=1204859560) Cheers Daryl

re: Big Blind twice in a row??? poker Rigged! Well, maybe not rigged, but unacceptable. Can you imagine being on the bubble in a satellite and missing entry because you double payed the blinds? Is this Pacific? They've been around for years. I am very surprised. Edit: I Just did a google search for some of the Key Words. Party Poker, Sofware Bug, Big Blind, Etc. Got nothing. I can't believe this is something that could go on for long without someone complaining about it. Last edited by Four Dogs : 9th March 2008 at 6:06 PM.

I have encountered this before, but I believe at the time my mental state was not totally clear about what might have happened, so I let it slide. It hasn't happened since 'The Act' which leads me to believe it was at Party, which I no longer play at. When you write their support, include for them exactly what you included here. It didn't take but a second to see what happened. Probably easier to read than a standard HH. I doubt they will do anything more than say 'Yes, we have received your email, and are looking into it. Please accept this coupon good for a DoubleCheeseBurger, with Fries! and a CHocolate MilkShake'. Then your account will be frozen and your chat turned off, with banishment shortly afterward.

Hey all, Quick update, Ive finally had my reply from pacific i'll post it below and also what i sent please let me know if it was unclear as to what i was telling them because they seemed to have no clue. Cheers Dear Daryl, Thank you for contacting 888. Daryl, I am sorry to learn that you have been forced to pay the big blind twice in a tournament. This is unfortunate, but it can happen. To ensure parity during a tournament we will move people from different tables to ensure that there is an even number of players strewn across the remaining tables. This process is done entirely at random and can happen to anyone. Once moved, it may be that one has to pay the blinds again - unfortunate, but it can happen. I do understand that it can be annoying when this happens, especially when one is moved to a table that seems to be hosting all of the players with the big stacks - hard to bluff someone out of a pot in that situation. However, I am sure you can appreciate the fact that whilst this rule is in place one can also benefit from it greatly - it may be that you are moved from table to table and never once pay the big blind. You may get moved to a table where the players are looser and have smaller chip piles... I do thank you for your e-mail. We have considered various ways in which we can change this process but have decided to keep the current system in place as it seems to be the fairest way of distributing players and keeping the tables sizes level. On behalf of everyone here at 888, I wish you the very best of luck. Kind regards, Amanda G. Iam writing to let you know of a slight error with your poker software. Whilst playing an 888 Express Sit N Go yesterday i was given the big blind twice in a row on the same table. Even though this was in the ealry stages of the sit and go i still felt i was given a slightly unfair disadvantage and had this been towards the end with the blinds being higher then it would have been a whole lot worse. Im not sure how you go about checking that im not telling tales but its all in my game history. The ID next to the tournement in my game history is 19064318 and the hands it happend on are 242373407 and 242373475. Thankyou Daryl

Good answer from them....To bad it had nothing to do with your question, problem and situation. They just explained how they justify 2 BB's when you move tables. They did not mention the fact that you are on same table and/or acknowledge any error...BoneHeads!!!

I have just emailed them back stating even more clearly that i was still at the same table when i recieved the BB twice in a row and even included pictures. I guess they didnt look at my hand history (i guess they can) after i gave them the exact numbers of them. I'll wait another week for my reply now. Cheers

Wow - support FTW! I suppose they probably get wads of complaints every day from someone who paid their big blind on one table only to be moved straight into the big blind on another table, and this is the generic response they give to all of those e-mails, but they've clearly missed the point here :P
