I did something similar to this in a free roll. I bet a number that had contained whatever my cards where. If I had 1010, I would bet 1010 or if I had 34 I would bet 340. It really began to tick people off. I loved every second of it because people would call me and I built up a huge stack. The tournament I did this in I soon had groupies following me to different tables. My luck soon ran out with this strategy though. It was a ton of fun though.

Works best when you are playing with people who will go all in with hopeless hands.

I found that many times the best bluff is telling someone the truth. Of course this usually only works with newbies. I guess they can;'t imagine that you're telling the truth and it makes them think that you're full of s$$$

I ocassionally bet 888 before the flop, and 1888 after the flop. That will get your opponent off his quard and so far all I have is folds. However, for me it is not a tell, since I have only done it once out of about ten times with pocket eights.

Another fun one is early in a tourney, you bet 187 (signifying that they are dead). Watch how many people call you.

You're kidding right? Sorry, but a good player is not going to think you have 22 when you bet 222, 33 when you bet 333, etc. It's a bet amount, and what it means is the size, not what digits it has. I like to bet strange amounts in tourneys, but it has nothing to do with my hand.

I'm still trying to figure out why the hell numbnut called 444 pre-flop with trash let alone pushed with K-7o when he didn't even hit the friggin flop. was that a freeroll?
