You see, the theory behind this bold new move is that you get nearly the same price as calling, but the psychological advantage of being the aggressor! Also you save chips, which are an important thing to have in tournaments.

Actually, I view this kind of raise as a sign of a weak hand. Not that you should ALWAYS bet 3x the BB, but with a low raise like that you are giving everyone at the table odds to call your bet, when you might want to be isolating and protecting your hand.

As far as the drug consumption, all I can say is, HOW DARE YOU MENTION THAT HERE.....

...and not share with me.
