Best time of day to play?

Looking for opinions on what is the best time of the day to play as well as best days of the week to play.

As for myself I find SnG's much easier on Friday and Saturday evenings, not bad on Thursday evenings either. (CSTzone). Think it's because there's so many TV poker educated college kids (no offence intended, some play excelent poker).

Toughest time I've found is mid-day durring the week, more sharks and way less guppies at the tables.

Freerolls, mid-week has always been easier because the insanity level seems slightly less.

OK, that's my thoughts. I'd love to hear yours about best times to play poker online!

Interesting, almost 3 dozen veiws and no one has an opinion here? Maybe I better make sure I posted on CC and not some non poker related forrum.....

Could it possibly be that I've found a topic that no one is willing to talk about? It could be that you might bring fish to your table (maybe even this fish).

I think you are correct. Sunday afternoons especially when football season is over is pretty good for me as well.

Weekends are the worst IMO unless you get very lucky and beat the incredible number of drunken players.

Normally I prefer nights to days. But I wonder if they're really better. I wonder how many folks sneak and play some poker while at work. I would think it might affect their play but in a way that's bad for them and good for me.

well i prefer to play during the day because there are less people playing because most are at work or at school and if as N.D. said they are sneaking at Work or School then yes there skill will be far less than normal because they will not be focused.

There was a thread awhile back where people actually posted their stats on profits by time of day and day of week. I think Friday night is the best because of 2 counts, the people who drink and the fact that it's the end of a long week and a lot of people may settle down and play poker to relax. Anyone playing to relax isn't going to concentrate enough to be able to profit, and any money leaving someone else's hands is money that could be in yours.

I would say during the day is decent most of the time. Weekends are probably better for catching fish, but more treacherous of course. Other than that, I'd say I can't play from about 2am to 8am, because the number of players dwindle and the huge stacks crowd the few tables at PS. I'm in EST btw. The Christmas/New years break has been very decent, hopefully things will keep up after everyone goes back to work and school.
