Best poker player.

Who do you think is the best poker player? I think it will have too be between Phil Ivey, or Daniel Negreanu.

I like O'Leary, he played a tremnedous game @ 2007 wsop awesome.
i remeber watching the tourney on t.v, it was just great.
Quote:

Ciarin O'Leary faced off against almost 3000 other professionals, and at the end of this massive slugfest, was the last man standing. After three days the game was becoming one of grueling attrition, where stamina was becoming as much a factor as luck or talent. In the end the 24 year old O'Leary only had to overcome Paul Evans to take the third bracelet of the 2007 campaign. (2007 WSOP Event 3 - No Limit Holdem $1,500)

i go w/daniel negraneau. i am always impressed when i watch him on tv, and he stares at someone to read them. starts talking, and eventually, rattles off what 2 cards they have...and he is right so often.

I Think Helmuth has more bracelets than all those guys added up? Not my favorite player but, none-the-less the most proficient at WSOP.

Well yeah hellmuth has alot more bracelets, but hes actually played longer too. Hellmuth is good, but i dont think hes as good as everyone says he is. Anyone can get 10 bracelets if they have played for a long time like him.

Well, if ANYONE can win 10 bracelets, why have only Johny Chan, and Texas Dolly matched that, esp. since they've been playing longer the Hellmuth?(actually, a lot longer) Chan was who Phil beat HU for his 1st, and at the time Chan was going for a 3peat. BTW, Hellmuth now has 11, out front all by himself.

The Best Poker Player!!

Well the best poker player alive would have to be Phil Hellmuth. I mean look at what he has accomplished so far and how long he has left to build to those accomplishments. You could argue that several other players are just as good and you would be correct! Poker is not a sport such as Basketball or Baseball where skill dominates! Poker is a game that involves luck. Which means any donkey with no clue how to play can beat the best at anytime. With this being considered I am the best! LOL!! No wait you are the best!!! Okay we all are the best! Good enough answer for you I surely hope so! Good luck at the tables Ladies and Gents.

you do realize when Stu won those titles the fields were just a tiny bit smaller. The question is the best player not if you like him or not because he cries. Now if Stu would of lived then yes maybe he would be better tourney player then Hellmuth now but right now as it stands Hellmuth is the best tourney player hands down. HELLLLLLO 11 braclets, Most final table, Most cashes.....
