| ive folded ak more times than i can count aslo jj but the best hand ive ever folded preflop was a 4 way all in and i had kings it was final 9 players i beleive and with that many players in the midst of that tournament it was impossible for my ks to hold, and if i just sat out i made an extra 3 spots so i folded and every1 else had aq aa 55 and ak i have no idea how aq and 55 called but whatever lol |

| The only time I ever fold AA / KK (and I don't call this a real fold) is when I am in a tournament that is above my bankroll or the prize I am going to win is above my bankroll and by folding I am 100% sure I will go to the next level I do fold. Never AA but did fold KK once...but like I said I don't call it a real fold cause it wasn't because I had any reads or anything just didn't want someone to suck out and I lose the extra $50 or however much |

| re: Best hand you folded pre flop poker Laid down AKs last week to a reraise from the guy to my left followed be a reraise shove from the guy 2 seats to my right. Glad I did too cause I was way behind when they flipped over their cards. I've also laid down AA a couple of times on the first hand of those freerolls when you have half the table all in. |

| So far pocket kings here. In the money of a low limit tourny, and had like four all ins in front of me. Was seriously low bankrolled at that point, and it seemed like a better idea to wait and make a couple more bucks than risk going all in with what might not even be the best hand at that point. If I remember this correctly, it was a good lay down. |

| AA twice once on the bubble with 2 all ins in front of me, I was short stacked and figured if one of these 2 knocked the other out or lower than me I was ok. I landed up coming 3rd and took home $2000 the other time was a complete accident, I got excited and hit the wrong button. |

| In a cash game online, I will never fold KK PF. Ever. People play AA, AK, QQ, and sometimes even JJ like they are the nuts PF. Considering KK has the majority of the hands that play like that crushed, I'll call every time. If I were playing against better players, maybe live and I had a read, for example a really tight scared player pushing and not even looking worried, I might CONSIDER laying down KK. But in general, KK is the second-best PF hand. AA is very rare, and there are other hands that are played similar to AA that you have crushed. If I get all my money in with KK vs. AA, I'm not all that upset, because I know when the hands are reversed, unless we see a flop and an A comes (or maybe 3 of one suit) I'm taking the other guy's entire stack as well. |

You serious? I love it when I have AA early and there's like 5 people all-in. Most of the time a 1-2 have Ax. In general you've got huge equity, and if you lose you haven't wasted a ton of time, and if you win you quintuple up or something and you can actually contend in the freeroll without having to worry about making too many plays with marginal hands for a while. |

| I folded Kings before PF...I was playing in a very intense Home Game...and the three people in front of me went all in...so I figured all the kings we're in play... It was a good fold...Two people had A-K and the other guy had Aces...what a coincidence...and you know how that one ended... Then we realized that my friend stacked the deck on everyone and we took him out back and made him sleep with the fishes...haha, just kidding. But yeah, that was intense. |

| What's with everyone thinking AQ and AK are big laydowns? Especially the people who laid it down UTG? That's crappy position, with an overrated drawing hand. That's not a big laydown. AK, while it looks all shiny is still a close coin toss against a pair of 2s. It's a little worst in fact. Assuming FR cash games, or early tourney. I remember 4-tabling some cash games while slightly drunk, and I mistakenly folded AA while concentrating on another table. Realized it the second after I did it . Don't Drink and Gamble. |

Of course when they found out what happened they almost killed me. They all figured they had the nuts and their dreams were coming true when all the money was going in the pot And although 5 of a kind isn't a hand in poker, wouldn't I win with the quads A kicker? |

Haha, that is freakin' awesome...everyone slow playing their aces... And if you do think about it...the Ace is the best kicker...Quad aces with an ace kicker!!! I WIN!!! IT'S OVER!!!! |

| re: Best hand you folded pre flop poker Whatever two cards anyone lays down preflop, including "AA" is all based on the concept of a good and educated poker game. Many posts in this thread prove that. A clear example would be juiceeQ's post folding AA preflop, with no need or interest in winning or losing more chips. Part of having a good game is to recognize the facts without letting the blood rush to your head. Every time you sit at a table, it's a new table, every hand dealt, is a new hand, every situation, is a new situation. And every seasoned player could lay down AA, just as fast as 7-2 off if the conditions dictate too. |
