You might want to post threads like this in one of the regular poker sections like 'General Poker' or 'Learning Poker'. Not a lot of the regular posters will read this in the 'Introductions' section, and posting in this section does NOT give you any post count credits. Posting in 'Introductions' does not give ANYONE any increase in their post count. Good luck with your new 'career' ...

Poker career ok i started out posting in the intro section now i will post here for now on about my poker career which I am beginning tonight without any money although i do have points on ironduke which i will use tonight to play 3 bounty tournys and i will post my results here so wish me luck. I have actually been playin for 4 years now but not seriously or not taking account and mostly live. So this is the start of my online career. I have won alot of tournys over the past 4 years but nothing really major. the most i have built up online was 2500 at jollyroger starting from 75 dollars but i ended up playing 3 6 with the money and lost the whole wad with pocket aces to 6 10 off suit when the flop came after the guy called my 4x raise was 789 and i thought he was trying to steal and went all in by the turn. Anyway I learned a valuable lesson. Never have all your money at one table. so we will see how I do in the coming days and weeks

I've been there... my first experience of real money games was when pokerstars gave me $5 free and I blew it in less than an hour. BRM is a good thing... I've learnt that the hard way... 5 or 6 times already.

$2500 lost on 1 hand? Yeah I agree with the others "BRM 101". BRM is what will keep you from losing large chunks of your bankroll, and when following good BRM it keeps you from going on Tilt because you never lose much of your roll at all. Look at Ferguson's BRM and others and make up your own rules for yourself. They shouldn't differ too much from the majority of what you see out there. I my self only changed my BRM rules for when Im playing a DON game. I figure with 50% of the people winning, and being able to make the money in those a large majority of the time, that a higher percentage of my BR can go into those than a normal SnG.

Last Nights Tournaments and today Well I played in 3 bounty tournaments last night on ironduke and got knocked off all 3 pretty fast. Started off card dead so when i finally caught a couple hands and missed the flop I was short stacked quickly. I've been there before but I just couldnt get started. I guess there is nights like that maybe even weeks. Today I played in a 500 dollar free roll and same thing couldnt get started. So I'm looking forward to tomorrow and the online forum challenge on UB I hope I can get out of my funk tomorrow. I also have a 500 dollar free roll on ironduke. So I'll post tomorrow how I do later

another loosing night well played 500 dollar freeroll last night and today at 1 and finished in the bottom third. had a chance to triple up early with nut flush. started slow playing it from the turn when it hit there was 5 players in the hand but the card that made the flush also paired the board and when the bet got back to me their was a raise reraise and all in so i guessed their was a boat so i folded and there wasnt so i was crippled anyway and i was mad after seeing how bad they played. I still waited for a hand but got beat with a smaller hand as usual. I hope i can get out of this funk soon
