| BB Defense I find the hardest position to play is the BB. I know Im supposed to defend it from a late position raise but i dont know what to do on the flop. typically I call miss and check fold which isnt correct. Should I be betting out on the flop sometimes or check raising. It might help to know I play limit holdem |

| defending your blinds is not something you should be doing with poor hands you actually need a hand so dont be calling with 10 4 off. and if you do get a decent hand and do miss it depends on the flop whether you should fire a c-bet. if you miss a flop of k j 9 probably not a good flop to be betting at especially if you weren't the one with the preflop raise. now if the flop is dry such as 467 you can definitely fire out here and make it look like you straggled in with a poor hand in the BB. but if you face a reraise in this spot you need to get out because your probably up against an overpair. |
