You have odds to set mine here and calling is not going to hurt your stack much. Fold to any aggression where you don't hit.

Yup pretty much what above said. No reason to get frisky against a UTG raise, just call and hope to see an 8 on the flop. If the flop is all low (274 or something) I'd check/raise to find out where I'm at. If UTG shoves, strongly consider folding because an overpair is certainly possible.

For me this is an obvious call. You get to see the flop without a lot o damage to your stack. If you hit an 8 on the flop thats great if not get out of there.

would same apply for all pocket pairs
except AA,KK and maybe QQ.
should these be 3bet or slowplayed
to raise cbet
if we hit a set with low pockets are we betting out
or check/raise or check/call on dry board

At least call but if you miss just give up on the hand. A small pocket pair in the very early stages of a tourney is skeptical at best.

This question actually requires more info to answer, Like how deep are you 2? How many players in the hand? Are they Aggressive? Do they like to call? Do they fold to aggression? Do they like to float in hopes of C/R bluffs? Are they insane to the point that they'll Stack off on pure Air/Dangerous board/Wet (More or less say there board was 874/turn is a 6, would they Ship it)?

Without all these you can't answer that question, Just my Take on it

Tried it earlier tonight and didn't work too well. If I had it to do over again...... I would have auto folded.

Then in this case, you should just flat, 1) Your OOP 2) If you 4 bet your A)Blowing the pot up OOP B) He could shove and then you just Lost chips that you need C) He could flat, and then what's your line If over cards Drop..

So for all those reasons like others have mentioned it's not worth it with 8s-Js really, QQ it's a maybe, KK-AA I'm raising but that's just my take on it...

I would probably just call here. Like you say, it's very early on, you have no info about the players yet (unless you've encountered them before and made notes) and you get to see a very cheap flop. If you hit then you can bet out or check raise. If you don't hit you can check and then decide what to do from there. As has already been pointed out, you're OOP. If you don't hit and end up folding the hand, you're still in great shape for the rest of the SnG and will no doubt have far better spots to play your 88 later on.

Easy - just flat call. If you hit 9times out of 10 you are taking their full stack if they are donkeys.

Easy fold to a bet and carry on.

easy call. like previously said you don't want to raise and end up being reraised because you can not call. Even if you think you have a weak opponent and he could have ATC. It is early and you don't need to do anything crazy.

what you do after the flop all depends on the texture of the flop. flop a draw it could still be good to check/call. I would check no matter what the flop. But that is my style. keep it small for now its early.

Flat then set-mine and if you miss take it from there. Seriously consider folding to aggression and betting out against weakness on good flops(small unconnected, unsuited flops). Don't go broke with it this early unless you hit a set.

This hand was kinda easy since it was the first hand but if you really want good advice convert hand then post in hand analysis thread.
