| Bankroll for MTT's I've made a first deposit for 55$ once on full tilt poker, And i played mostly 1-2$ SnG's. I'm a better tournament player than a cash game player. The reason why i played single table SnG's was because i couldnt afford (because of bankroll management) bigger MTT's. Any suggestions on how big my bankroll should be to play 1-2$ MTT's, and which MTT's you prefer. |

| well according to chris fergusons bankroll managment, u should only buy in to mtt's with no more than 2% of ur bankroll which means with $55 u can only buy into mtt's with a buy in of $0.55 (which is too low). I would recomend playing the $1000 guaranteed on full tilt which only has a 10c buyin with optional 50c rebuys. The field is so weak so if u play this tournament consistently, it should easily be a profitable to play daily. also, an exception to the bankroll management is playing $1 MTT's so no matter the size of ur bankroll u can play $1 buy in tournaments. Good luck at the tables.... |

| Alright.. Didn't know full tilt had such micro-limit tournaments as 10c. So i would need a bankroll of slightly over $100 to play $2 180man sng's. And a bankroll of 55$ is enough to play 1$(+ rake) MTT's. 0,02 x 55 = 1,1. I would rather avoid those micro levels as 10c, players on those limits play so nasty, i know how to beat them, but still it's more fun with more experienced players. hmm, 1% of 55 is 0,55. you prefer 1% instead of 2% of my bankroll for MTT's? | re: Bankroll for MTT's poker Pokerstars is better for Micro Tourneys from what I understand. FT only has a couple that run once a day. (Daily Dollar, 10 cent rebuy, and The Ferguson) |

| yes.. Poker Stars has .25 cent 90 persons and big MTTs... it also has .10 cent 360 ppl tournaments... there are some bigger 1 dollars and 2 dollars also that have 3,000 dollar guarantees on them My advice would be, if you are going to stay on full tilt, play the .10 like was previously mentioned... but then i would also try playing some 45 person 1 dollar tournaments... i think first place is a decent amount for only giving a dollar... also play a lot of 1 dollar sit n gos because those could raise your bank roll... if you win one of those.. maybe splurge and get into a 2 dollar MTT... to be hoenst with you those are relatively easy to cash in and you wont lose your buy in most times! Goodluck at the tables hope you win some cash! |

| I would advise you play the 0.10 rebuy on Full Tilt as well. Don't be anxious to play with better players (like you mentioned). You should be glad to play with people less skilled than you, and you are sure to find people less skilled in these 0.10 games. Oftentimes you will invest alot of time to win very little, but your BR will be steady, and after alot of attempts you may actually win a decent prize. Also, don't rebuy or add-on in these, it isn't worth it. Wait for premium hands and hammer at the people playing garbage. These only run once a day, so you can play freerolls as well. Really, 55 dollars isn't much to safely build a bankroll with. ***Pokerstars does have much better micro games. I deposited $28 one month ago, and have built it to $54 following tight BRM. Really, I think the only good way to build a BR online is likely cash games, or consistently playing micro mtts with the hope of winning the $50-$250 first prize once in a blue moon. I suggest you preserve your $55 playing the 0.10 daily mtt and freerolls, and if you are looking to win big play the $1 daily dollar. |

| i don't have much of a br on full tilt...but what i like to do is play those turbo 30 cent sng's where the top 2 get a ticket to the daily dollar and the third gets 25 cents back. i'll play it till i either fail and another buy-in would go over a dollar, or win my way into the daily dollar. that way i feel i earned it, and i get my really puny sliver of a full tilt point too! |

| There have been quite a bit of good responses, however if you feel like you're becoming overwhelmed by bankroll management, understand that having a 50 bankroll doesn't give you much legroom to play anything beyond .01/.02 cash on pokerstars or super micro sit n gos. I usually liked to keep between 30-50 full buyins to a level and move up once I acquired around 50-60 buyins. ex: (5NL-.02/.05) would require about 150 dollars more or less to cushion a LAGgy player at that range. |

I would avoid the marathon donkaments (.10 and daliy dollar) unless you have the patience of a saint and an iron-clad stomach. They can be brutal and rewarding if you don't go crazy with rebuys and don't throw your monitor on the floor because of the quality of play. |
