Bankroll I recently installed full tilt poker on my computer a month ago or so, and decided I want to see if I can create my own bankroll by playing freerolls. I have got just over $10 on my bankroll right now. My question is should I just keep plugging away at freerolls trying to increase my stack? Or is there any specific games on full tilt that you reccomend for my low bankroll? let me know, thanks.

$1 SNGs, or whatever the smallest stakes cash tables will work fine. Just play very tight and you'll be better in no time. No need to practice real bankroll management until you've got around $50. Just stick to the lowest staked games, you will earn more there and the games are more realistic.

Play the $1 SNGs with 6 or maybe 9 people max. Bigger payout with 18 or 27 but odds are greater. Plug away at the single tables and build it up. GL.

There is a $0.30 satellite to the Daily Dollar in the SnG lobby. You have over 35 buy in's for these, so can comfortably give them a go. 9 seats, 2 players advance to the daily dollar, 3rd spot get their buy-in back. If you finish top 2 you can unregister from the daily dollar and bank $1 in tournament cash. Plug away at these and you should find your bankroll increasing steadily...they are pretty soft but prepare for some bad beats...some players will be on any 2 cards! If you wanna take a step up, try the £1+$0.20 matrix games. VERY low risk.

In response to OP, I would try $1 sngs and work it up from there. If you are a decent player, you should be able to slowly build up the BR. Don't get discouraged if you don't double up your BR in a day or something, because that is how you will go broke. Just keep plugging away and be patient. |

How is not depositing and creating a bankroll a bad idea? I haven't deposited, have cashed out a few hundred bucks, and have a small bankroll on PS and FT that can sustain my few games a night. I don't know how you could call being able to play with free money a bad idea.

$1.25 SNG's and 1/2 cent tables, I wish you the best of luck on building up your bankroll. I once went from $1-$80 on pokerstars, I was running hot then just lost it all because I wasn't following BRM (bankroll management).

Never heard of needing to deposit to get rakeback. Haven't tried getting rakeback, but I know my friend got rakeback on his account having never deposited. Seems like the needing to deposit to withdraw myth ppl have come to take as true. |

When I started playing, I was tracking my results, and I earned 2 cents an hour playing freerolls. If you win at even a super modest win-rate (1bb/100) and you play 4 tables of $2 NLHE, you'll make around 2.8bb per hour, or 5.6 cents an hour, plus rakeback & bonus. And having deposited, you'll be playing within bankroll management, so you'll be unlikely to go busto. Sure, play freerolls for a while until you cash once or twice. After that, deposit. | C9 is being very honest and offering solid advice. Playing freerolls are for learning the game. Depositing along with bonus' rakeback and the ability to play for real amounts of money make grinding freerolls an unnecessary chore. If you can beat a FT freeroll you can probably beat a 1$ game. I got rakeback on FT after getting someone to transfer me some money. Granted I didn't have an affliate previous. Oh and you do have to deposit to withdraw, you just do. |

Chris Ferguson Challenge If you haven't read his bankroll management challenge...I would suggest you do. He has very strict guidelines for increasing your bankroll at very little risk of going broke quick! Playing for real money is a whole new ballgame and since you've only been at it a month...I think it would be best to have some sort of a game plan and stick to it....I hope that helps you out....GL!

I say forget the freerolls. They are pretty much a waste of time unless you just want to practice. I'd play .01/.02 cash tables and play very tight. Only premium starting hands. If you have AK and raise preflop and you get multiple callers and a flop like 8TJ or similar comes out and one of your opponents bets. I'd fold and wait for spots where you are sure you are ahead in the hand. Don't take any chances until you get your bankroll up. You can play like a nit all day at the micro stakes tables and most players will still pay you off. This is pretty much how I created my bankroll when I first started, and I have never went broke yet or deposited any of my own money.

$10 on a bankroll... you can do it. Hey, I have gone from $10 to $350... it can be done, but knowing how to get there is key... 1) don't disregard playing the Freerolls, after all it's FREE MONEY, if you don't win it, someone else will... and it's always good to keep adding to your bankroll... with out risking your own money. 2) You got to play the Micro Stakes, am talking $0.01/$0.02... but find the game that is right for you, such as hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha, STUD, RAZZ... I find that if you master a game such as STUD or RAZZ, you could bank it hard from players that aren't good at the game. 3) Try to do some bankroll management... don't put at risk your money, cuz your going on TILT... if you got $10, I would only play at a cash game with $1... and play the $1 tournaments or less... such as the $0.25+$0.05 sats, and the $0.10 tourney. and most of all, patience... you will build it up slowly but surely ;-) Good Luck at the Tables.

It depends on what you really want to do. I know that if I were you, I would prefer to have a bigger bankroll than $10. Also it depends if you are an experienced player or not. If you've just started, you should keep playing a lot of freerolls and read some strategy articles or books in order to improve your game. But if you really want to play CG, you should stick on the micro stakes games as other people suggest you I wish you the best to increase your bankroll, and also: have fun

Retro I started over 2 years ago playing FreeRolls on FT. It took several months for me to even cash in one of them but I did. I then took that money and played EXTREMELY tight on the micro tables and I am still grinding it out with FT's money. I have never deposited, made it into triple figures several times and have withdrawn some. I am now in the process of getting a rakeback deal. Remember, CC has some great FR's as well, stay active on the site and you'll get your invitation to them as well. I took 3rd in yesterday's CC FT freeroll. So if you are willing to grind it out, watch the BRM, you can do it. I am not living off my Poker money, but still playing.

re: Bankroll poker Freerolls a waste of time imo. They have like 10000 people in, and the blinds go up so fast theres no time to play decent poker. Just deposit $100 and play in the micros and you will learn far more and progress much faster as a player.
