bad bet or not?

I was in a freeroll yesterday and had 9 9 ,it was down to me and one other player so i went all in (trying not to go all in much)and he calls with 9 8 but show you how bad my luck is ,the flop comes up 7,10,J i was not happy! was this a bad call or just bad luck>

Are you seriously asking this? How could this have been anything but bad luck for you? Can't say if it was a bad call by your opponent though, since we don't know stack sizes or anything else about the hand.

for a freeroll its not bad, real $ horrible play but yeah best u can do is get your opponent to accept horrible odds and put his $ in bad
