Bad Beat City!

I know I'm playing hands right and it just kills me since i lose about 60% of the time. flop comes 5 7 8 all diff. suit. I have pocket 8's so i go all in! i get one caller with pocket 9's. turn comes 6! ugh! next hand i play i have Ad Ac flop comes 7c 8c 10c i go all in with top pair and nut flush draw. opponent called me with Jh Jc. whats the turn you ask? 9h!!!!

grrr..... should i have seen one more card before going all in? or deciding to fold my hand? woulda been a tough fold!

would you have waited till the turn to make a move then fold if felt you were beat? i guess those are things i need to improve on so i can become a good tourney player!

I came in fourth in a FTP Tournement about five weeks ago - since then I haven't had any texas holdem pocket cards that have any legs at all. AK's have been bad news in any position for me. I feel like the poker gods are taking a crap on me. If I could only lose 60% of the hands I play right now I'd be happy -- to be winning 40%.

Am I understanding you correctly - you win 40% of time? Are you actually losing money? Sounds like your doing okay to me.

Ouch, man that sux, just dont let it get to you, its poker it happens to everyone from time to time. If you feel it affects your game, take a break.

i no how u feel i does happen so often when ure winning with the best hand then river hits or runner runner so annoying but just have to get over it and try and keep on going i do get so annoyed sometimes if i get 2 annoyed i usaly take a break or i play stupid out of anger i no its wrong to just cant help it sometimes thats why i take a break so i can calm myself down

What are you playing? Freerolls, low buy-ins? Online players will play just about any draw. No getting around it. It's one of the reasons I still prefer playing 'limit' games - MTT and ring.

i duno straight draws with two cards to come arent too bad of beats... but when its u get them down to 2 outs with two cards to come or 3 outs with one 2 come those piss me off... if im 80% to win i should win... but when im 90%and up.... i BETTER WIN .... 90% beats are beats u should see once a week not twice a game... but im not pro but if i play ten 90% situations i should win 9 of them not 7 or 8.. but we'll see maybe i should start keeping track of how often i win 90% situations... i use to keep track of 70% hands and i do pretty well with them like 65% of them ill win (close enough)
