AUSSIE MILLIONS!!!

dunno if this is the rite place to post about this...but anyone here gonna play or try to play in the aussie millions...i live in melbourne australia and helllll yeah im gonna try and play.

ive already played a few satellites at 'the crown' (thats where the aussie millions is held) and i was dissapointed here is how it went down.

$240 buy in 230 players 1st seat in aussie millions. i came 3rd and i wanted to cry lol

i had pckt A and went all in and got called by A3 i was so happyyyy but the guy got runner runner 3's to win lol

anyway getting a lil off topic but yeah i wanna noe if any of u r trying?? how and where ur trying and what u think the best way of getting there is

I would try, but I dont think I could get through the 20+ hr plane ride. It sounds like a blast and I have always wanted to go to Australia, but unfortunatly you will be without me.lol.

How much is it to buy a direct seat in aussie dollars?

I am from Melbourne, born and raised there, but moved to the U.S. about 4yrs ago and desperatley want to move back.
Crown is a great casino but I only started playing poker this year so never played when I was back in Melbourne.
Anyways, yeah I would love to play in the Aussie Millions but dont have the cash yet for any $ satellites so Im playing on the Full Tilt freerolls.
Each night, expect on Thu nights (I think) Full Tilt has 2freerolls and sometimes have one or two earlier in the day or evening.
Ive been playing in both the nightly freerolls, the 1st one you have to finish in 1-9 place and the second 1-36. Then you go to round two tourney and same structure to then get to a thir round which then has 7 seats to the Aussie Millions including trave and hotel (MG you might get a free Met train ticket hehe)
Check Full Tilt for all the details as I probably got some of the above wrong.
So far I havent got past round 1 but finish 39th once, just 3 away from getting to next round and finish in 40-50 half a dozen times. I will keep trying!!
Anyways its a fun freeroll.

With only one seat available there must of been lots of cash prizes for 2nd, 3rd, and so on right?

Well I did it last night, my first success in a online tournament.
I made it through the Round 1 game of the Full Tilt Aussie Millions freeroll.
Not only did I did I make it in the top 36 which gives you entrance to the Round 2 tournament but I finished in 1st place.
I wasnt even tired when it wrapped up at about 5:30am EST :-)
Now Im getting ready for the Round 2 game that starts at 5:30pm EST.

Well my first attempt at the Aussie Millions Rd.2 freeroll didn't go to well, went out of the tournament early.
So as a true crazy online poker player who stays up till 5am I tried again and tonight (Well Monday morning now lol) I again made it through Rd.1 again. So now I get another chance at the next Rd.2 tournament which will be this Sat 09/16 at 5:30PM EST.
Here is a screen grab of my result. My Full Tilt name is iboing.

Hope we can get more CC people in this tournament, be cool to have multiple CC people win Rd.3 :-)

Its easy believe me - have flown to New Zealand (and back ) im 6ft 4 and still managed to get a few hours of kip in.

Normally, I dont think I would ever play in the Aussie Millions just because the chances of winning are quite slim because of the number of entrants, even if you are an amazing player.

But a couple weeks ago I won an all expenses paid prize package online (after an extremely tough series of tournaments) to Australia and play in the main event, so there was no way I could turn that down!

Im probably one of the youngest that will be on the field, but im curious to see how I contest against some of the best players in the world Who know? Maybe I'll get lucky!
