**Attention Party Poker and Empire Players**

From another forum:

A member on another forum I frequent posted a thread on a message he received from his rakeback site. The contents were a warning to all PP and Empire players that use of third party poker software such as PokerEdge is being considered an unfair advantage and accounts are being FROZEN. Pokertracker, GT+ etc. are not listed and apparently still considered fine.

Might explain my losing streak. I use gametime and PT maybe they decided the game needed to be 10x harder for me! All poker edge is a database of players very similar to PT but on a much larger scale.

I have also read this elsewhere and it is quite interesting. I wonder if it will be enforced. It may just be a warning, i find it hard to believe that will will freeze thousands of accounts over this.

Sure they say it is an unfair advantage , but this software if freely available and anyone can get a hold of it. It is not cheating, it is just preparing yourself better for playing. I don't think you can penalise people for doing a little more reasearch and finding better equiptment to help them in what they do, as long as it is allowable by the rules of the game.

If anyone has their account frozen please post here.

I think its mainly real time type software and software that gives on the spot odds and so forth. Anything that is the equivelant of taping the game and reviewing it later to check for leaks is OK (for now anyway).

OH they are enforcing it.... I have been saying for sometime that if they can write an automatic odds calculator then somebody is just one step away from having successful BOTS play their cards for them. I see Party's point they want to keep the game in people's heads as much as possible. Although Edge if I am correct is nothing more than a huge database on players.

Has anyone tried using this software?

Imagine playing poker online against opponents that just have the use of their brains.
