Right on that's a good step! I hope Canada adopts that as well. Although as it is our laws are pretty lax on it already Its only illegal for someone to operate a betting house in canada. As the user we are not necessarily in the wrong. It's a legal grey area right now. Last edited by Placid Carcass : 9th November 2009 at 8:54 PM.

Great Article. Looks like this issue may get some attention coming up and not just negative. I always have this discussion with my mom, an attorney who oddly enough agrees with me somewhat. Much, much money to be made by our GREEDY government. Come on boys, come up with a plan so you get your cut and we get protected, seriously.

re: Article (US Players) "Online Gambling Ban Has Failed, Should Be Ended" poker For all of us in the USA I encourage you to write your congressman about this issue. I wrote mine and received a letter back stating how he supports lifting the ban.

I do live in Colorado, and our state appears to be on track to oppose this ban and seek taxation and protection for online gambling. I love it, and I really think it is in the nations best interests as a whole. But seriously, this bill doesn't even define illegal gambling, and until it does there is no enforcement method that would see it's way through court. The government cannot impose sanctions on financial institutions for processing transactions to a gaming site without defining what is illegal, and cannot pursue criminal charges against gambling citizens because there is no legal grounds for prosecution because the law itself lacks definition. So, I still ask, what is all the fuss about. It's business as usual until the government decides otherwise.
