April Results/May Goals

I'm done for the month, so let's start the results thread.

Second best month ever. 13.5k hands at 200nl, crushing it at +5BB/100. 11.5k hands at 100nl training to multitable more massively and beating it at 2.5BB/100. Ironman at FTP and goldstar at PS.

May goal is to study the preflop game of the PS regs better and once FTP updates its software, to try to apply it at FTP where preflop is so much less aggro.

Also had my best month to date. +~300 in tournies and some rakeback which i havn't worked out.

Hoping for a 3k month next month, all at 100nl mainly with the aim of fixing leaks

Well the month is still 15 minutes long here and I'll probably play more tonight but what the heck.

First positive month since December and I'm pretty happy tbh.
Came back from my standard 10 buy in downswong, which usually doesn't happen as I just start breaking even after losing 10 buy ins .

Some 50nl HU in there too when bored yesterday that didn't turn out too bad.

The big spike in rakeback is my deposit bonus that I just update as I'm clearing it ($260 so far) and I also got $80 in rakeback.

So a $600 month is pretty awesome for me. 25nl winrate is a little low due to swings and bad start but I'm confident that I finally got the hang of it and will set down a solid month in May.

May goals is keep working on my 25nl game. Work on tilt control and stop/minimize my spew.
After I am happy with my game and got a decent winrate + br cushion, maybe take a shot at 50nl FR at the end of the month or beginning of June.
(Oh and my 2nl game obv needs work )

My goal for the month was 30k hands, was on pace for 25k when it was cut short. Not sure exactly how many hands I played b/c don't have access to my tracker atm, won ~$200 again. Only played 2 weeks of each of last 3 months. Since I seem to only make it halfway to my goals I'm shooting for 100k hands this month. I need to put in alot of hands to get ahead and move up. I tend to cash out and cripple my roll too often b/c I'm poor.

Had no goals but I got back over 100$ at pokerstars after tilting down to under 50 which pleased me.

Goals for next month-

Try to grind my tilt roll up via cash games which I am new at.

Play one table of 2 dollars up too 30 then try 2 tables if I get to 50 at all then stop playing the 2$ stacked tables and play the 4$.

Keep learning the cash game.

Play a few mtts on pokerstars and maybe a few 5 dollar Dons every once and a while see how that works out.

twas a pretty crap month and the worst i've run in a while (little over $3k).

Ideal world, i'd like 50k hands this month now that i've done school playing nl200-nl400 and $15k profit but i may have to work on my parent's roof for a week which would reduce hands

Cash games have been ugly and I posted a negative outcome there.

However, I went 4 for 7 on tourny cashes this month including a $1050 win and one for ~$200.

Cleared a bonus for another $120.

Fish have been on God mode this month for the most part.... i don't feel i've played terribly overall. Lost way more big pots than should be expected as ~85/15 favorite when the money went in.

Took a shot at $100 NL which went horribly, but I at least got to a point where I was able to take a shot and hope to be taking another shot in May.

Still plan a good sized session tonight to finish out Platinum but prior to that session my numbers are something like this:

Tournaments: +$1270
Bonuses: +$120
Rings: -$700 (most of this at $100)

So.. overall showing about a $690 profit on the month.



Next months goal is simple!

Grind back up to taking another $100 shot and don't run like shit when you take it.

I'd complain about running bad and shit but haven't lost that much and think I'm pretty much even for the month, plus it's pretty insignificant when compared with the losses some will have made so I won't. Hated April soooo much. I can't decide what I want to play, I have the mentality at the moment where I feel as though I'm going to lose and I'm just not playing enough.

So after April, I feel I should set some proper goals for May:
1) Over this weekend, decide which form of poker I want to focus my attention on, whether it be cash or SnGs

2) Read, read, read and ****ing read. Oh and watch. I don't think I'm doing that much wrong but learning more cannot be a bad thing.

3) Become a consistent winner at 10nl

4) Play 25k hands

The hand goal may be difficult, as I have to get into serious revision for A-levels and stuff but hopefully I can use poker for my downtime

5) The most important: Start enjoying poker again

what program is that that gives you those type of graphs? anyone care to explain simply how to set it up so i can use it, im pretty computer savvy so should be no problem.

belgosuisse, how did u make that much cash? just playin rings? or mainly sngs?

My database is split between my home computer and school and it was an ugly month for the most part.

-Graduate college
-Enjoy my time in Florida
-Watch some videos for a change and actually try to progress my game instead of mindlessly 24 tabling all day
-Try to transition to 200NL forever
-Don't f***in tilt, PLEASE just dont f***in tilt

Things started to go better towards end of the month... that dip at the very end was today basically... today was all sorts of fun

Still... a positive month thanks to tourny's and if I take away the $100 NL shot break even at cash more or less.

April was a bit of a mess for me. I decided to switch from $5 SNGs to $10 SNGs, and immediately started on a HUGE downswing. I also wasted a lot of time playing SCOOP satellites. Played less than 8,000 ring hands, and the month would've been a wash had it not been for my fortuitous $1K cash on the 29th.

Not sure how much time I'll get for poker in May, so here are my conservative goals.

1) Play 7,500 hands at 25NL
2) Post overall profit at 25NL
3) Final table a 90 or 180-man game

All I can say for this month is lol, I can't make up my mind what I want to play. HU is fun but I don't think I can beat it because I tilt kind of easily, it's between 6 max and Full ring. I think I'm going to try 6 max for now and see where it takes me. This was a pretty much a wasted month, I wanted to get to 100NL but I'm right where I started.

Yes they cost but they have trial versions for a month or something like that.


I strongly prefer the 1st one and I think most people here agree.

You can also look at the FreePokerDB at http://fpdb.sourceforge.net and its a free hand history tracker program with a graph. Pain in the butt to install but worth a look if you like "free" stuff.

Anyways my goals for May:

- Focus on 6max
- Write down weekly goals for study (videos, notes, research)
- At least 3 coaching sessions (ideally 4) with ChuckTs
- Steady as she goes

I missed the first two weeks of April due to that stupid FTP 10-day promotion. I couldn't win at that but I did make the $25 bonus. Then I brought the losing back to Stars for the first few sessions. Luckily I finished with 18 winning sessions out of 20 for a good month.

Goals are to get enough in my bankroll to play for some serious money like most of the rest of you and to put in at least 60K hands.

Goal for May is to play mostly 05nl and hopefully shake this little slump I just entered into.

4k hands holdem with at least 2k omaha will be the volume goal...

I don't have any fancy graphs since I don't use any poker tracking software other than my own spreadsheet I keep.

Started the month out strong with some nice sessions live and also started building up a roll again on pokerstars.

By the end of April I was really focused on building my online roll back up to what I am confortable with and I am on a good pace.

Ring: 19K hands at 25nl 6max- up like one buy-in, was a really swingy month and i probably should be up more but i tilted some money off by pure spew play.
Was doing good for like the first 3weeks of the month and then i decited i needed to start paying all the fish off.
So yeah ring- 25$+

MTTs:
Only played a few and the biggest cashes where:
120/29k sunday 200k for like 263$.
Win in the CC 11$ deepstack for 164$.
Overall- 320$

Overall 355$
Also have a bunch of FPPs i need to do something with.
I could just save them for one of the bonuses in the PS stores but the silver/gold ones are such low value i will probably just use them for 210FPP to 200k.


So decent month thanks to some donkaments but kinda unhappy with ring.

May:

1. Find cure to tilt

2. Either go for gold on PS or move my roll over to titan(or any other
Ipoker site), or some other site for some rackback and bonus whoring.

3.Get a routine for playing. Not just mindlessly fire up some tables, make sure im rested,calm and in the "zone" to play before i start.

4.Profit .

5. Even if im geting close to beeing rolled for 50nl do not move up until im happy with my winrate and have stoped swinging like crazy.

6. study,study,study
