Anyone who plays on Full Tilt Poker or plans on it Read this

Here is the last hand I played in a tournament in which I believe I could have made it into the top 3... possibly first place. Everything was going well until we got to the money, then this happened. The key parts to the hand are in bold... Notice the chat before the flop comes down...

Now... I know from playing multiple hands with him, that Sid Vegas would not even consider calling that, and the fact that he said what he said before any cards even came up, there is no question in my mind that this happened because of some outside force. I have actually had this same thing happen to me where I did not click anything but the software automatically called or folded my hand. It was only in limit games, so it was not a big deal.

In my calculations, I would have been in roughly 3rd place in the tournament if this outside force was not present, but instead, I got put out.

I emailed Full Tilt Poker security about this, and here is what they sent back.

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Customer Support.

After reviewing the hand history, we have seen that there was no
technical errors during hand number 3265388264. Are finding have shown
that player ID Sid Vegas, did press the call button.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Not only a complete grammatical disaster, but also, there was obviously no investigation done to even warrant a reply. Are these the type of people on Full Tilt who are protecting us from collusion and other problems these sites experience every day?

All of my money is now gone from that site, and I suggest to anyone who has money on Full Tilt Poker that they remove it swiftly and find another place to play for cash. I know that most sites take security seriously, but it is quite apparent that Full Tilt does not.

This thread reminds me of the rigged threads. Part of the issue here is techology, I play on a laptop and it's got one of those touchpads...and oftentimes will have my palm hit the touchpad of the computer and exit me out of a game...or fold when i want to call and has actually hit the Raise Pot button. I think when you play poker online there ARE risks some of those risks include will you connection go dead?? Will there be a thunderstorm 2 hours into a 5 hour tourney? Will there be a technical glitch that would change the outcome of the game...MAYBE, but I would think it to be VERY rare and there is not a whole lot to do about it.

If he had no problems before or after this hand, then I would be highly suspicitious of his accusations. He either accidentally pushed it or did it on purpose and wanted everyone to think otherwise, because it was a bad call. Either way, I don't think it has anything to do with full tilt's ability to have a secure and competent site.

Basically same thing GiveUpFishy said.

I agree with Wonka22, it's just one of the risks of playing online poker, take it or leave it, I think you just got to control what you can control and just play your best.

For what it's worth, I use a laptop and just last night went to move the cursor to the "fold" button from the "raise" button and touched a little too hard, accidently called a BIG raise on a hand with me holding rags. The big raiser must have been blind stealing because he folded to me! Ironies of life.

I'll admit that twice I didn't press call / fold / raise and my guy called an all-in (I can't explain it, just kinda happened and I thought maybe something happened on my side, and it probably was). This was the small, small amount of time I played on FullTilt. I won 1 big hand, and the other one I lost but to a short stack :\

I don't think this is FullTilt related, for all we know he might have said that to not look like a donk, to be like " *presses call and realizes what a stupid call that really is* oh no this was an accident!"

Sometimes when I am multi-tabling and I click on a window in the background, I will accidentally click fold//call//bet etc.

Just suppose here for a minute and consider that perhaps, maybe that it wasnt a Full Tilt conspiracy.

Why are we so keen to accept computer errors - but not human errors.

I would suggest sit and watch your pc for a day and see what it does wrong and then see how many times in a day you yourself (the human here) make tiny errors.

*i too have pressed a button in error before now (not at a good time either )

One time I was sitting there with KK on a donkament on FT, and it came around to me after like 3 all-ins and it folded my hand... was pissed... =/

Thats the only problem I ever had tho, I did NOT click on fold or have a box checked it was just retarded.

what i hate is when you accidentally call bets by thinking you are clicking the check button and you call a 10X the big blind raise with 72 offsuit...worst day of my life whenever that happens.

So far several people reported that they have had the same problem. I don't think we should discount the possibility that FTs software has a bug that manifests itself very infrequently.

There is a big difference accidentally doing a different action and not touching anything and the software calling.

FT should investigate this and not just brush it aside. Also, they should send their customer support to first grade to learn some basic grammar.

While I hate to support these types of theories, I actually ran into a guy at the OFC freeroll who was saying similar things.

He kept saying his hand would get automatically folded without even seeing his cards and that he couldn't control it. Not that I believe an anonymous freeroller, but I don't see a reason for someone to start lying about that at a table.

I thought that the same thing was happening to me. I wouldn't do anything and my hand would be automatically folded or called. I realized this was happening when I went to another screen and then clicked back in to Full Tilt. I would accidently click on the betting box and one of the buttons would automatically selected.

i think it's too polite, not threatening enough. maybe it should say:

I actually had this happen to me at a bodog freeroll. It took me all of like two hands to figure out to just close bodog and reload the program.

Mistakenly hitting call or raise bottons on laptops

I realize this thread began a long time ago, but this happened to me. I have a mouse connected to my laptop...and I often mistakenly hit send ot accidentally move my cursor to a spot in a document where I wasn't intending to type. This often places my cursor in the middle of an otherwise nicely worded paragraph or another God-awful plpace to begin typing sometthing that shouldn't be put there. Go to your laptop's control panel and disable your touchpad. You'll have to use a mouse when you use the computer, but you'll never hit the call/fold or raise buttons accidentally, again!

My question is why did the OP shove with A2? He sucked out on the AK if the winner hadn't called.
