Anyone a Subscriber To CardPlayer Magazine?

Hey guys got a question. Anyone here a Subscriber to CardPlayer Magazine? I wanted your opinions on it. Does it have interesting articles, etc. or is it pretty much a waste of time.

I'm sure icemonkey has an opinion on this also.
Thanks.

Ahh..

I just take it from the casino everytime they have new ones.

Its ok. Pretty good for a poker magazine. They went way down hill in my opinion with their coverage of this whole HORSE event thing. In two or three magazines back to back they had multi-page articles about the HORSE game and didn't once mention the way Scotty acted. Its not really a good news source as much as its a way for top pros, and people in the industry to promote the industry. I also think they spend way too much time covering internet stuff. But..thats just me its not my cup of tea, I don't play online.

lol how did i get named in this? I feel famous now.

Anyways - yes I like CardPlayer magazine and their website. If you have a local cardroom, there is no need to subscribe since it's FREE at the casino.

I subscribe to Card Player and Bluff, and like both. The strategy articles are worthwhile. There are several full-page photos near the back of each issue which are useless, but otherwise I don't like to miss an issue.

The closest casino to me is about 3 hours each way so yes I do have a subscription. It is a very good magazine in my opinion and always has great articles in it. It is also however filled with pages of advertisements for casinos and tournaments which would be great if you lived in close vicinity of one.

I have always enjoyed their articles, but then again, I am about as pokeraddicted as they come, so maybe I am not the best judge.

They do sometimes run some pretty good freerolls and small buyins.
