Anyone playing the Main Event Race Rd 1 - Freerolls.

In FTP under play money - sit & go - all - There is a tournament with a 225 player count that registers every 4 minutes. Top 2 in this tournament win a seat to the Round 2 of 3.

I have been playing these for the last few weeks, and I have won 1 seat into Round two to which I lost to a turn/river flush.

I am playing these mainly at night, easier to get into.....

I've hit final table a ton of times, but the chip leader steel wall seems to always draw on me....no matter the hand.

Anyways anyone else getting into these...hell I love free shots at WSOP Possibilities.

It's too much of a slim chance to be taken seriously i guess...

I don't like those odds. Too much of a waste of time I think.

I've made it to the next round a coupld of times but never further. Fun to play but dang I am wasting alot of time trying to get there. Maybe I need a gamblers anonomys for freerollers?

Is the prize a fully paid package with travel & hotel etc or just the tournament buy in?

I have been playing in 450 field with 1 ticket into 2nd round. I have managed to get a ticket into 2nd round but I am yet to use. I will probably use it some time this week. Just hoping its not the donkfest that Rd1 has been.

lol its very difficult to register on them... you have to click inmediately on the register button and also its full so quick that you dont have even time to click on the register button on time..
however i think they are a waste of time cause if you win, then you will have to finished 2nd or 1st in another tourney and then, in the final round you must finished 3rd, 2nd or 1st if you wanna win a seat to the wsop

I've been to stage 2 three times, but my best finish is 17th. I do these if I just feel like playing a freeroll and there aren't any others around at the time...usually very late at night.

Due to the turbo setup (3 minute blind increases) and the early donkfest, I now have a strategy for playing early in round 1 that seems to pay off. If anyone goes all-in in the first three hands, I call automatically if I have a) any ace; b) any pocket pair; c) any two face cards not counting 10's; or 4) any 2 suited connectors, one gap or less. About one out of every three or four times I get enough chips that I can then play comfortably for a while. The other times, there's another tourney rolling along in three minutes or less.

For those who think it's a huge waste of time, these round one games only last about an hour and a half due to the turbo setup.

also, there is a new thing like this wsop sit an gos called face the ace...i like these types of tournaments because they don't take that long compared to other tournaments.

id do the 180 people tourney for it instead of 360 because in the 180 top 2 go to round 2 and for 360 only the winner goes to round 2. plus the 360 tournaments would take longer than the 180's.

i'll give it a shot but like most ppl say it does seem like a waste of time.
B better playin on sum other site that has steps to the WSOP.

2 out of 225 in a donkament qualify for round 2 (which is still a donkament) where 2 qualify for round 3 (which is - bet you know what comes now - a donkament).
I used to play the 180player sngs for ft-points as a beginner but now I'd rather sit and burn a hole in my head staring at the sun.
If you are bored enough to play these (and I'd suggest multitabling them as a practice) go for it but don't expect to see a game of poker here.

Yeah these things r like bingo poker. U limp then call a shove or u shove ur self. Not much skill so it's a pure luck fest. Hell i limped AJo UTG then shoved to a raise n managed to catch the nuts river flush. lol. crazy.

I bet round 2 is even crazier than the 1st round.

Ok after reading this post today I thought I would give it a try after about my 6th game I came in 1st now what do I do I cant find where to go next I think im going blind
