| anybody got in a Fight in poker tables in casinos? About week ago, I got in few verbal fights with several people within 7 hour period. I went to casino with my roommate and his girlfriend. Since his girlfriend is barely learning poker, we decided to relax and play in ($1/$1 both big and small blinds are one dollar). I was at a table. I joined the table for 20 dollars bcz that's the buy-in. I usually play 5/10 with $300 buy-in. First hand I got, I was dealt AQo. I raised 10 bucks, this old vietnamese man or whatever his race is called with pocket 3s. Flop came out all clubs, 5 7 J. I pushed all in with AQo. It was a semi-bluff which implied for him to fold. He called with pocket 3s. I hit my Qh on the turn. I won the pot. He then starts saying that I shouldn't have put all my money with two overcards because it is stupid. I told him, well, you shouldn't have called with lowest pair when you don't even have a club. His wife comes over, he starts talking in vietnamese to his wife, pointing at me as if he's talking shit about me. I told him, "HEY, ENGLISH ONLY. READ THE DEALER's TABLE. ENGLISH ONLY. Nobody wants to hear that chinglish while game is in action. ENGLISH ONLY, ok..? You don't see me talking in Korean while I'm in the table. ENGLISH ONLY!!! Don't make me call the floor" The man left after few hands. Then later, I had about 100 bucks in the table. Some guy who only had 15 bucks went all in with pocket queens. I called immediately with AKo. I hit my King on the turn. When his friend came over, he starts talking shit about me that I'm a donkey. I just stood up and said, "hey, is there something you need to tell me about? don't talk behind my back like a pussy. just because you lost your money don't mean you gotta call others donkey." He tells me "I wasn't talking to you, so mind your own business" I told him, "hey dipshit, you were talking ABOUT me. we can settle this outside if we want to. Not only will I clear up your pathetic wallet in poker, I'll school you again tonight in the parking lot" Floorperson came to the table, and I told him what exactly went on, he decided to separate both of us. That moron decided to leave, so I just stayed at the table. And then later, I got into another verbal fight with this retarded old lady. What happened was, the guy right of me was very loose aggressive player who tends to bluff a lot. He lost a huge pot to some guy who flopped a boat. So he was down to 25 dollars. He raised with pocket 5s 7 times the blind, I called with pocket 7s. I don't know wtf this lady had but flop came out 2 3 T. Guy with pocket 5s pushes all in with 25 dollars. I reraised all in for 135 dollars bcz old lady had about 30 dollars and some gentleman had about 20. Old lady and gentleman folded. I won the pot. Then old lady starts criticizing me saying "you reraised all in with middle pair." I told her "is there a problem here? if you simply had a better hand, then you shouldn't be talking and should've called, otherwise, don't criticize how I play" She told me that I'm an idiot for reraising 135 dollars with middle pair. I told her that I reraised so you guys can get the **** out of my way if you guys don't have shit. I didn't mind losing 10 dollars more because I wanted to go heads-up against the guy with pocket 5s. My guess is that she either had 10 and thought she was scared that she can't call with TPTK or she had a King which came out on the river. Either way, I won the pot and that's all it mattered during that day. I've had 3 verbal fights within one day while playing in low stakes. My roommate broke even because he compensated his girlfriend's loss. I usually play in 5/10 but once I moved down and played in 1/1 like I used to year ago, I ran into weird people. Anybody had a problem like this in casinos or similar? All of these actions make me look like an asshole. i was being a pure asshole in the table. But that's only because they provoked me. I am usually calm and quiet, sometimes laugh and enjoy the game with people. The hell, if I win, sometimes I even buy drinks for people who were at my table for a long time. But this day, I couldn't stand these three idiots, I just had to go full-asshole mode and beef up. I usually respect every players who respect me. |

| i once did shout at a local casino here in Manila at a roulette table cause one of the table attendant after i won was insisting that i give something FOR THE BOYS but i wasnt winning and was still losing , so i didnt give them nothing and continued to play and asked that attendant to place me a bet on a certain number and he snubbed me about 3 times so then i thought that he snubbed me for not giving them a tip , so that was the time that i raised my voice and started to tell him or ask him if giving tips or what they call FOR THE BOYS compulsary or do i need to give them a tip even if i dont want to and i only stop yaking at him when the casino changed the guy at the table and after that i just continued a few games and left the roulette table. |

Im sure you could of fixed her attitude too. Keep Representing the Game you LOSER. |

| Some of the regulars can get quite arsey about the way I play in the weekly rookie tournament at our local casino. Sometimes I just smile sweetly at them, occasionally (if I actually agree that I have sucked out) I will point out that it's a rookie tournament, and then in the later stages I point out to them that I'm still in the tournament and they aren't. Quite often I think they are doing it as a deliberate ploy just to put me off my game, so I don't take too much notice, I've paid the same entry fee as them and I'm entitled to play my cards however I feel is appropriate. I certainly wouldn't EVER behave in the obnoxious way that pokerlovesme is suggesting he behaved, however. Much more likely to just smile sweetly in those situations. |

| I'm not gonna lie and I'll agree with most people. I was being a dick/asshole during that day because I got sick and tired of idiots who kept talking shit about me in FRONT of me after losing their chips to me. Most of the time, I would be humble and stay quiet but it was just a day where I couldn't take any more shittalking and had to stand up for myself. If I get bad beat from someone, I don't talk shit in front of that person. I mean, yes, I get mad over some idiot who gets rewarded over retarded play, but I would still smile. I don't start criticizing people or call people names in front of them. I instead shake hands or tell them, "nice hand" and leave. Even after when I say "sorry man" or "sorry sir", they talk shit about me to their friends, wife or whoever the hell they came with. Normally, I would just ignore them but that day, I got very sensitive and especially one punk who lost a coin-flip to me, I wanted to beat his ass in the parking lot. Floorperson came and separated him by putting him in different table. And wtf was that old lady criticizing my reraise. She could've simply called if she had a ten. My guess is she had a King and I kicked her out of the pot during the flop and she was mad about it. I'm usually 5/10 player but I just decided to relax, play 1/1 only because I wanted to take it easy and rest from last month's bad beat. Later on that day, I moved to 2/4 when table got broken but didn't make anything. Purpose of this thread was to ask if anyone ever encounter weird people or had any problems at table or had trouble in casinos before? This thread was never made to show off about my inner assholeness or about 150 bucks i won by tilting people with dickheaded moves because i dont' care about the money i won. 150 dollars is nothing compared to where I usually play and I'm pretty sure any of cardschat members won more than 150 dollars in live casino. Nothing amazing about winning 150. This thread is simply asking if there's anyone who had trouble in casino before. |

| ok now i feel bad for agreeing with those that critisize your play. let me explain . there is a local game where i live that the whole table plays that same bingo stratagy. if there is one of you at the table it is easy to bust ya , but when the whole table plays that kind of stratagy one idiot or the other will get lucky way to often to make solid play profitable, so i play elswhere. |

| I've never been in a fight at the poker tables in a casino but I've seen two. They were both verbal fights, but one ended up with the guy in handcuffs cause he refused to leave the table, security was called and he "bumped" the security guard. The other one was an old man vs. a drunk kid. The old man went to get up to confront the kid and when he went to stand up he touched the dealer. The security guard saw this and ejected the old guy. |

I'm using pokerstove just to verify this. I dont' know about you but I usually consider two overcards vs pair pre-flop a coin-flip. 99 vs AT 22 vs 5 7 77 vs K9 Any pair vs two overcards, I consider them a coin-flip. Although percentages slightly change based on suits, I generally categorize them as coin-flip. |

| re: anybody got in a Fight in poker tables in casinos? General reason of why it's a coin flip or 48% is because pair needs to avoid 6 cards from flop to river. Therefore, you calculate by 1-(42/48 x 41/47 x 40/46 x 39/45 x 38/44) which comes out to nearly 50% Reason why percentages change is because pair can take out straight possibilities, flush possibilities, and if pocket is really low, overcards can win by counterfeiting the pair since board can make two pairs itself, etc. Technical way of calculating the percentages done by calculator is they get every combinations of 5 cards that can be made using 48 cards and then get number of times hole cards can win, lose, split. |

| Never I have never played poker live at a casino,,, now I'm not sure I want to. I've often wondered why anyone would think they have the right to insult another person, just because they are sitting at a poker table. I wonder how much trash talk there would be, if everybody was wearing a gun like in the old western days. Just my thoughts. Take care |

Anyways, IMO, 1/1 games aren't too common worldwide. But I've seen them in a few places that want more low-end action. Depends on the area and the type of customers who come in. And to the OP: Yes, you were "dickish". Why flair up at what others say? You won all 3 of those hands, so just clam up and keep taking their money. If they think they can tilt you by talking, they'll start doing it on purpose to throw you off your game. Plus, you don't know who could be waiting in the parking lot with a shotgun for you if you talk back. Also, I don't think you'll get too much respect around here by using phrases like "vietnamese or what ever race he was" and "chinglish" and "retarded old lady". Cardschat IS a worldwide poker community and those phrases are bound to hit at least a couple of the members here. BTW, I believe this story because I've met guys like this. |

| For those who have not played in Southern California cardrooms (esp Los Angeles), the OPs description of the activitites is standard fare. While poker rooms in LA have beefed up rules in recent years to slow down verbal, physical fights and player/dealer abuse (yeah--just like the online community loves to say ITS RIGGED--LA players love to say their bad luck or bad play is always the DEALERS fault), it has not stopped the underlying aggressive nature of play, for the most part, in LA rooms. Personnally I love the atmosphere cause it adds to the entertainment factor for me. And if you can learn to play comfortably in Los Angeles Card Rooms, you can play anywhere in the world. Myself, I have witnessed many fights at the Commerce Casino and Bike over the years (although they seem much less these days). I was even involved in an altercation, when a guy who was being a real jerk, had somehow mucked his chopped pot hand, even though he flashed it, without tabling it. The floorman came over and asked if I would consent to chopping the pot as the fair thing to do. And although I would normally do so, I decided the player was being so rude I said NO CHOP I am going to keep all the money. After verbally threatenting me, the guy actually jumped across the table at me, with chips flying in every direction. Quite funny, I still get a chuckle from it. He never actually got to me as Casino Security had already been eyeing him because of his belligerence. Last I saw him, several Los Angeles County Sheriffs was taking him away. |

| This is by far the most violent and hostile thread ive seen on Cardschat. Dude pokerlovesme, I wont comment too much on everything u said but I will say that my grandmother was a HUGE gambler and had quite the mouth on her. If you so much as looked at my grandmother crosseyed when she cussed at you I'd probably put my glasses on ur face and make them permanent contact lenses. Ne male on this earth who talks back to a female senior citizen no matter the cicumstances is a unclassed, uneducated, disrespectul, uncoothed piece of utter garbage. Way to make friends at CC |

| funny story, i try to be humble and not say anything even if someone says something negative about my play but everyone has their days and can snap. i've personally never gotten in a verbal argument at a table but i've had people call me out over complete BS and i just enjoy not saying a word and taking the rest of their chips |

| No matter how you try to justify your actions OP, you were acting at the lowest level, and racist and ageist remarks are indicative of that. You are certainly no better, and somewhat worse, than the people you describe. If you had laughed things off, would have been a great story. As it is, rather sad... You did not 'stand up' for yourself, you sunk below the level around you... To answer your question, yes a player threw a piece of pizza at me once at a live game; luckily he missed... |

| If you get so worked up at micro cash live games that you lose it then that says more about your lack of control than anything about the random fish you were playing, who incidently understand so little about poker that their definition of a "correct play" tends to be diametrically opposed to the most +EV play. |

To every cardschat members offended by this, I am terribly sorry. I made a thread just to ask if anyone got into troubles or problems in casinos before. As I admitted that I was being an asshole, there was a reason why. Generally, I treat people with respect because as my father told me all the time, "Respect can't be bought. It can only be earned". But during this day, I had no respect for three players I've played with since I wasn't receiving any respect from them from the start. |

| re: anybody got in a Fight in poker tables in casinos? I play at all the southern california casino's and I have came across people that have said the same things. One of my favorite reply's to these people Goes like this ,"you'll be fiine as i smile.. Thats about it.. Alot of times people will say that just to get you off your game (try and make you put your tail between your leg's or ,,, try and get you to answer back for information and also to get you mad). You said you ususally NOT like that well my question to you is how in the world such a simple tactic could have you all upset like you stated ? Also think about the casino your at. The bicycle casino has many people that do that to players or even follow people out to the parking lot for slow rolling them.. But you go to morongo casino and you won't see that. Think about how you were feeling that day prior to poker. I like to play live only when everything is taken care of outside poker and im relaxed and ready for poker (meaning Im in a good mood and ready for anything!) |
