Any UK players on here?

Just joined, is there anyone from the UK on here, if so where do you play? Also trying to find a civilised game in London, any suggestions (i.e. not Gutshot (s**t hole), or the Vic).

Many thanks

Yoda

Yea, this forum has lots of British members, m8.

You won`t find anything civilised in London. It`s all full of Londoners.

Yep, UK player here.

Online, I presently play at:

PKR
Paddy Power Poker
William Hill
Betfair Poker
Pacific Poker

Good sites are also:

Party Poker
Coral Poker
Poker Heaven

I always advise non US players to steer clear of sites that accept US players cos they seem tougher.

Live, I play at the "s**t hole" sometimes in their tournies. Why do you not like Gutshot?

I hear the Loose Cannon is quite good (If you're ok with the £125 quarterly subscription) or there's always The Western in West London.

I`d suggest that you are both right. It depends on the time of day.

If you play an American site at a time that falls naturally for British players (ie. our evening), it`s the middle of the day in the States. The fish are out working for a living, to pay for their next deposit. What`s left are the hardcore players. Those guys are tough.

However, if you timeshift to late evening in America (which is past your bedtime) or just wait for the weekend, the casual American players are often worse than Europeans.

Hey, welcome mate! I'm in Reading, ('bout 30 mins West of London for those who dont know).

I have to agree that the weekends on the sites accepting US players are noticably easier than through the week. The two downsides of waiting till very late UK time to play the US donks are 1) You end up tired, and 2) The hardcore from Scandinavia and Europe are around, and they are just as tough (perhaps even more so) than their American hardcore equivalents.

In my personal experience, of course.

Hello, m8. Brit here

New here myself, so still looking and getting a feel for the site.
Never played live (yet) so can't say where to play.(Northener also)
I like to play @ Will Hill, Paddy Power, Pokerstars, Full Tilt
Play at a few others but only just started with them
Enjoy the site, and good luck at the tables
